That's really neat. I can't wait to see some of your finished products. My husband uses his dremel tool a lot too. How do you do the burning?

    OK but remember you asked.

Where do you keep them all?
On bookshelves, many, many bookshelves. The standard size paperbacks are 2 deep on about a dozen tall bookshelves. Another four for the hardcovers or odd-size softcovers. You could say that our decorating scheme is “bookshelf eclectic”.

Do you have a favorite author or series?
Here’s an assortment - by no means an exhaustive list:
Key: Author - series (first title in series)
    • Douglas Hulick - Tales of the Kin (Among Thieves)
    • Simon R. Green - Nightside (Something From the Nightside); Secret Histories (The Man with the Golden Torc); Deathstalker (Deathstalker)
    • Jim Butcher - Dresden Files (Storm Front)
    • Glen Cook - Black Company (The Black Company); Garrett, P.I. (Sweet Silver Blues)
    • David Weber - Honor Harrington (On Basilisk Station); Safehold (Off Armageddon Reef)
    • Elizabeth Moon - Deed of Paksenarrion (Sheepfarmer’s Daughter); Serrano Legacy (Hunting Party)
    • Dave Duncan - Seventh Sword (The Reluctant Swordsman); King’s Blades (The Gilded Chain)
    • Larry Correia - Monster Hunter (Monster Hunter International); Grimnoir Chronicles (Hard Magic)
    • Lois McMaster Bujold - Vorkosigan Saga (The Warrior’s Apprentice)
    • David Drake - Hammer’s Slammers (Hammer’s Slammers); Lt. Leary (With the Lightnings)
    • Kevin Hearne - Iron Druid (Hounded)
    • Melissa F. Olson - Scarlett Bernard (Dead Spots)
    • John Ringo - Looking Glass (Into the Looking Glass); Empire of Man (March Upcountry)
    • Steven Brust - Vlad Taltos (Jhereg)
    • Seanan McGuire - October Daye (Rosemary and Rue); Incryptid (Discount Armageddon)
    • Mira Grant - Newsflesh (Feed); Parasitology (Parasite)
    • Michael Underwood - Ree Reyes (Geekomancy)
    • Richard Kadrey - Sandman Slim (Sandman Slim)
    • Faith Hunter - Jane Yellowrock (Skinwalker)
    • Tad Williams - Bobby Dollar (The Dirty Streets of Heaven)
    • Max Gladstone - Craft Sequence (Three Parts Dead)
    • Jaye Wells - Propspero’s War (Dirty Magic)
    • Neve Maslakovic - The Incident Series (The Far Time Incident)
    • Elliott James - Pax Arcana (Charming)
    • Benedict Jacka - Alex Verus (Fated)
    • John Scalzi - Old Man’s War (Old Man’s War)
    • David Eddings - The Belgariad (Pawn of Prophecy)
    • Kelly McCullough - Fallen Blade (Broken Blade)
    • Robert Asprin - Myth Adventures (Another Fine Myth); Phule’s Company (Phule’s Company)
    • Alan Dean Foster - Pip and Flinx (The Tar-Aiym Krang)
    • Robert Heinlein - everything.
    • Piers Anthony - Incarnations of Immortality (On a Pale Horse); Apprentice Adept (Split Infinity)
    • Robert Feist - Riftwar (Magician: Apprentice)

A lot of the currency I have collected has no exchange rate. Sadam Era Iraq bills, CSA payroll notes, and the like. I also have several small value coins from the countries I've visited. Probably only about 10 to 15 dollars worth. I don't usually buy currency except to stuff that isn't current issue. The arms I'm looking for is a Lebel revolver, a Nagant revolver, and a .43 Mauser.

Along with collecting boomboxes I build and display 1/72 scale aircraft....
Mostly larger aircraft in this scale...smaller aircraft in 1/72 are too tough on the eyes now..
I just finished this TU-95 Bear which has a 24" wingspan...

That's still really neat. I do the same with currency from other places. Is there a particular country who has the most neat looking currency to you?

Those are very nice. What made you choose aircraft models? Would you hang them from the ceiling?

The coolest looking currency I have is a coin that my sister gave me before she passed away. I never got a chance to ask her where it came from and I've never found another like it.

I static display them on shelves as shown-- some aircraft (and dirigible) models draw me due to their art deco design factors...it is the design that pleases me---or draws me to build it---especially flying wings---
    thanks for your interest....

Here's some pics, the tab on the bottom folds up or down.
Has a piezo starter operated by the button on the end.
    Flame can be adjusted.
    Got it off Amazon.

I'm sorry to hear about your sister passing. If you upload a coin maybe one of us on the forum might recognize it. :)

I can definitely see it being a nice center piece that draws in attention. What the coolest in your opinion, one that you've built or want to build? You're welcome and thank you for sharing :) Plus, it also helps for secret santa coming up if you were to participate in it and someone sees your posts.
