I am carrying that today since I forgot my EDC today. I keep a backup LM Charge in the car with the Milwaukee but you have a good point considering what I do. I have all 4 versions; not a big fan of the small one due to the clip design and how it caught caught up in my pants. Keeping version 3 in my pocket since it can store 4 spare blades. In short, because of you I am going to order a second one to keep one in the car with the LMC and the other in my pants for work. Good call! I need to stop coming here; you guys are costing me money. I even got a bartender/waiter tool for my EDC bag just in case I need to open a wine bottle. I keep one in my car after our trip to Maine.
No safe queens for me. I've been carrying the same primary folder in my pocket every day for several years and it shows very little wear, just a little bit of scratching on the titanium part of the handle. I use it (almost) daily, I just don't break cinder blocks with it.
The other one I am usually carrying and using... Killed it once, the kind folks in Oregon City brought her back to life, and I am once again enjoying carrying it.
Same goes for me. No safe queens, but there's no hard use either (have fixed blades for that). I open some packages and strip some wire, mostly. Not that it always makes a difference, but with most of my folders being in the USD 100+ range I wouldn't expect them to fall apart from the tasks mentioned. While not intentionally keeping safe queens, I sometimes give in to the temptation of buying bigger knives. Usually these end up getting very little pocket time. If one of them should make an appearance in a pocket dump, I would not be surprised if it looked brand new. Most of these knives get sold eventually though. Today's EDC (sans the phone, wallet and keys that most people carry anyway)
Today’s pocket dump. That’s on my person, plus the phone. While I have four knives that may vary according to what my day is like, the rest is EDC. Well different hankies, but you got the gist. Sent from my Glade Air Freshener.
Got the same dangler on my SAK (that I only use on travels). It works fine but the price was shameless. Sent from my Glade Air Freshener.
Me too, that C-tek is very cool looking stuff. Benchmade did a very good job with the inlaid CF, one of the best looking combo's I have seen thus far.
Yes I like the 0456. But I held back on buying because the weight concerns me. It’s even heavier than an XM-18 Sent from my Glade Air Freshener.
My work takes me into a couple different states without much prior notice, each of which has different laws on concealing certain types of knives, and certain blade lengths. I could start the day out in one state, and end up being in 2-3 different states by the end of the day without knowing that I was going to be going there. Because of this, I normally just stick with a SAK Tinker, and a Kershaw shuffle. Both are cheap if I lose them, look less menacing, have small blades, and have other tools so that I could maybe argue my way out of a situation with some overly-authoritive law enforcement officer...although I don't think I'll ever encounter that, but you never know.
Most carried for me are Opinel #8 and 10 or Rat 1 folder...mini tinker SAK used to be in the top two spot until lost. Mora companion often gets clipped on my pants around the house for lots of jobs and glock field knife is carried on my building gear. Have other one hand SAKs or multitools in bags/packs but seldom carry on person these days.
I was carrying a Spyderco since 12/25/87.....till today. My son got me this for my birthday today. New daily carry! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
