My keys go into a carved wooden box - my landing zone - that is on my dresser. The only thing that is not there is my cell phone when it is charging - as the charger is downstairs - primarily for ease of weekend access. KM
Mine stay in my backpack. My key for my locker at work stays on my Comtech Stinger, which ends up on my nightstand or stays in my 5.11s.
Hello My keys stay in my pants too. I never know when i am going to have to get up and go out the door. FP
when i get home, i find out what i wanna wear for tomorw, put my belt on the jeans, and throw my edc and my keys in those jeans and their ready for tommorw, that way if i need to run out of the house, thats my " BOB" at the moment. also i remeber when my cousin's house got broken in to, the cops suggested never to hang ur keys near ur door way, heres a video that shows u why... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xNiBejUOZPY be safe.
The keys stay on the belt and in the pockets of my pants until I transfer everything to the new pants I am wearing in the morning. Having been on call off and on for the last 20 years, I do not de-equip pants until I have already put on the next pair. The still equipped pants-in-waiting hang on a hook in the bathroom.
I don't like the practice of hanging keys on a board because it makes it way too easy to find if someone breaks in. I keep mine in an armoire with the rest of my edc. I'm not saying it's a theft-proof solution but it will at least slow them down.
We hang all ours on a board my son made for me when he was about 8 years old. It's falling apart but we just can't bring ourselves to getting another one.
As a bachelor living alone in my own house all my EDCgear goes into my "junk drawer" in the desk. If a thief looked in there he'd never know what was what since the thing is so cluttered. Of course, my more expensive stuff stays in the safe, but most of my working gear just piles up in there. Be nice to have a neat, organized place to put the keys, but i'm not that disciplined anymore.
Mine stay in my pocket, clipped to my belt via leash, until I change for bed. Then they get dumped on a shelf next to some books along with my other pocket and belt stuff.
Mine stay in my pocket, partly because I might need them, or the other things on my keyring, and partly to make life harder for thieves. I have a combination safe for keys which aren't in use.
