When I'm actually at home I pretty much only take my car keys and phone out of my pockets ans set them on the halway table. Everything else just stays in my pockets until it's wash day (every other day or so depending on the day)

    One OR the other:

    *Pelican 1400 case
*Pockets of the trouser that I choose to wear the very next day

In either vessel, my EDC is ready to grab and go.

I wear a baseball cap pretty much everyday, so I just flip it over and dump the pockets into it.

I've been thinking about making a "personal effects bag" of-sorts, by adding some velcro to two bandannas. I already EDC the bandannas, anyway. I'm thinking about adding the velcro to 3 sides, leaving one side open to act as a "pocket" for everything. If I need to grab it in a hurry, everything is contained (as opposed to falling out of my hat).

I carry a Maxped Jumbo so what isn't already in the bag, either gets clipped to it or thrown in it so I can grab it and go in the morning.

+1 for the otterbox! I have a pink one I dump my pocket carry into at night, which works well if i'm travelling too, since it's super secure and not a piece of furniture like some keepsake boxes.

My SpecOps utility bag. The side pockets are perfect for all the pants pocket items you carry. Knife, wallet, chapstick, cell, money..etc

Smallish Ikea drawer thingy that I can't find a name for anymore. Has 9 drawers, made from birch, cost about $15 when I bought it a year ago. Sits on a bookcase in my office.

The only thing I remove from my pants at the end of the day are me, and my sidearm. Side arm lays on the nightstand. Got in this habit from a career that would call me out any time throughout the night. Nowadays, I continue leave items in the pockets for whenever I make a neighborhood watch run in my rural neighborhood.

Where does it all go at night

It's easier to show than tell. I use two valets...one is a charger base type and the other I've had for years and it's always been where my pockets get emptied. On to the images!

I empty my pockets into a 5.11 Tactical Vest which hangs on a hook in the master bath. If something goes bump in the night, everything is in the vest ready to go. It's quick and convenient.

Each morning, I pull out whatever is appropriate for that day and put it into my pockets.
