+1 to a shallow tray/box. Mine is outside the bedroom, so in event of visitors, it has a lid to cover the mess. ;-)
I got this cool Domo hat...i have started dumping my contents in this hat that sits next to my bed. If i need to bug out right away I can just grab my hat and be off!!
I have this wood bowl from hawaii that i dump my pockets into its engraved with mountains and waves. ill take a pic for ya i also have a metal tray that i put change into next to it
It's an Aztec coin from Pirates of the Caribbean. My son gave it to me as a souvenir from his trip to Disneyland last summer.
That Tactical Travel Tray from Maxepedition is great. I like the felt one that was homemade too! Another alternative is the Travel Basket from Red Oxx.
I usually don't dump all the stuff out of my pockets/bag. My procedure: 1. Come home 2. Hang keys on the coat hook 3. Take off hat and hang it on the coat hook 3. Take cell phone & water bottle out 4. (optional) Take contact lens container out 5. Put sunglasses back in the case and into the bag In the mornings (after getting up and dressed, feeding the cat and all): 1. Pack Cell phone 2. Pack filled water bottle 3. Take hat and leave
