No, you are never too old to GET in a Vette. But at my age of 58 I would MUCH rather crawl up into and down out of a truck than down into and up out of a Vette. We had a Ford Focus renter recently and I like that car! Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
Can't remember if I posted after I picked her up...upgraded from the VW to a Tundra. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
That is a beaty! By coincident I saw just like yours today! With a licence plate that said ROT-911! Sent from my NSA monitored iPhone using Tapatalk
Well my 4Runner blew up from some idiot mechanic botching the Timing Belt job so I decided to stop playing around and found the Big Boy this time! Not me in the pic either. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I always, since before I could drive, wanted a Jeep Wrangler. When I was younger I couldn't afford one and now it's not the sensible choice. Hopefully someday it can be my secondary car. Preferably a Rubicon. Happy to see it's popular amongst EDCFers. Meanwhile I'm quite happy with my current sensible car Sent from my SM-G950F using Tapatalk
^ e means it’s the hybrid right? How you finding it? Sent from my NSA monitored iPhone using Tapatalk
@Mark_Trail , yes it's a hybrid. In many ways it's not very sensible for most, maybe, but without going into detail, circumstances made it quite sensible for us at this time. It's a great car, by all means. I tried a couple of SUVs in that price range (mostly cheaper). I guess all of them were more practical, but this was by far the best driver. Great comfort, 300+ hp, and that "circumstance" tipped the scale in favor of the GLC. The combination of electric and petrol powered drive chain, makes it very responsive despite the added weight of the battery, but off course, the battery consumes a fair bit of trunk space. It's nice that you have the option to drive very economical (electric only) or go formula 1 crazy. It's also nice to have full time 4WD no matter which mode you drive in (electric, petrol or both), which not all hybrids are able to provide. And there is decent ground clearance. I could wish for a bit more electric range, especially during winter. The heater kills the battery. But all in all I'm very satisfied. . This is my first SUV that could be considered premium or whatever, and there is a problem with the whole concept of making a premium SUV if you ask me. My previous SUVs/4WDs that have been older, cheaper or both, and that provides a whole lot of peace of mind when you go hunting or something like that. Getting stuck on (or even off) bad roads, transporting bloody animals and dirty equipment doesn't really bother you much when you drive an affordable "tool car", but it's certainly on my mind these days It boils down to a compromise. We decided we would try to get by with one car, at least for a while, and this is actually a good compromise with a little bit of everything; fuel economy, comfort, fun, capability and hopefully good quality and dependable as well.
@buckkiller - very nice. love an uncut first gen bronco. what motor? 289? 302? 351? 5.0 swap? any more details? Wife's new ride - 2018 GMC Acadia Denali in white frost. This isn't the exact car (picture from google). Had the car about 5 months, and still no pictures. haha. I got the ol' 2006 CR-V and the 2005 Volvo S60 as my cars. lol
