I have been looking for a nice one for several years and gave up last year and got a CRV instead but have never really been in love with it. Then a couple of weeks ago a friend who runs a dealership called me and said that he had taken this one on trade for me and that I should come drive it while he could still "Protect" it at the dealership? It turns out that they sell before they even get them in stock regardless of condition so I drove right there and it was love at first sight! I plan on using it as my smaller version of this but with HEAT too!
Subaru Forester XT 2016, we sold our RAV 4. There maybe better SUVs out there, but this one rocks for me. https://www.caranddriver.com/photo-gallery/subaru-forester-2-0xt-instrumented-test-gallery#1
Now, what is it? Looks like a PSA/Fiat van but door handles are like Sprinter? Sent from my NSA monitored iPhone using Tapatalk
^ Thanks. The short body and my bad eyes made me think of Ducato and alike. Can’t go wrong with a Sprinter methinks. We’ve had two that were really worked to death on pulling, carrying, etc. that just kept on going - with some rust but not even close to Vito-levels - and also very good to drive and sit in! EDIT: Actually: here’s a couple of pics. of the later one with the small engine having some fun and singing for his supper : Sent from my NSA monitored iPhone using Tapatalk
Yeah they don't make the shorty anymore and it is really about perfect for me! Friends who have bigger ones and then drive mine say it feels like a Sports Car and it does to me too! Probably the most reliable vehicle I have owned and certainly the best M.P.G. vs Hauling Ability too. I have considered upgrading to the current versions but if its not broken why fix it?
I don't know about that. Having lived in both Australia and the United States I've been fortunate enough to be able to drive allot of different offerings and while I'm what many would call a Toyota enthusiast I would pick a new North American market diesel Dodge RAM truck over a Hilux any day of the week. In the 90's the Hilux was "the" truck to beat but now, not so much. Now if you asked me which one I could have from either country and I'd just say an Australian market 70 Series LandCruiser. I have an imported Japanese market 1990 year model with me now in the States but the current offerings available in Australia with the turbo charged V8 diesel engines are in my opinion the ideal truck. You're mileage may vary.
^ As said/implied I lean towards GM, but have utter respect for Toyota workhorses based on quite many hours spend behind the wheels of Hiluxes/Dynas/Hiaces/BJ’s. No, I don’t consider myself fortunate because of that but you just can’t kill the buggers Ram? Can’t say that I’d be very impressed, as said GM is my poison. However, Cummins rules and points for Dodge there Obviously usage and requirements differ, (as do personal preferences) our Toyos have been pure work vehicles (logging, farming, etc.) and almost solely used when ’on the job’ not for normal commuting etc. And they have performed as expected with flying colours, no more no less Sent from my NSA monitored iPhone using Tapatalk
In a reserve unit today. Man I dislike the cab of these things. Outside is a pic I took while off duty. Sent from my LG-LS993 using Tapatalk
I guess moreso the cabinets behind the captains chair. The box looks pretty efficient though! I like the items to the right of the CPR seat being in reach. But you’re right... van fronts are awful.
