    Sorry to hear.
Failing timing belt has killed quite a few Alfa’s. Was yours on overtime or snapped within service paramerers?

I think I waited too long. Was already looking for a new car, this one was almost 15 years old.

Which is why I generally proactively change out a timing belt... No criticism implied. Just an observation. Truth is, I learned the hard way once when a timing belt on a Toyota gave up the ghost in the midst of heavy traffic! Vowed to never put it off again -- could have ended very catastrophically!

Your '82 square body truck has its body panels lightened, just like the handle being machined out on a fine knife, in order to reduce weight. Good idea! :)

After new brakes, CV axle, a wheel bearing, and new tires, she hauled her first load on Sunday...

I could have went with a little more. Still about 1-1/2" off the bumps stops.

That's some flare on the rear wheel wells. (Go ahead. I dare you. Say that fast about 10 times!) You don't have tandem wheels on back I wouldn't think?

Hilux probably beats most American trucks.

Most capable and practically undestructable yes. So when going gets tough it is the truck to choose. To actually drive, sit in and look at I do prefer my old Sportside
