I found a "lightly used" set of rear 3" Currie springs for $125 shipped on jeepforum.com and because I'm cheap and no one will ship to me I picked them up. Hopefully now the back end being lower won't drive me nuts.
My new Fusion. I picked this up about a month or so ago. I saw this thread come to the top again and figured I'd throw up a photo.
Loving the brush truck. Related: Finally got caught up on work, and washed her. Thinking of a 3" lift, and some goodyear MT/r's on some xd pulleys Tired of having a hard time getting to certain job sites, and my trailer sitting higher than the truck. (milsurp hmmwv trailer)
Old EDC pic, rifle is now mounted with quickfist mounts to the trunk ceiling and a chest rig against the back wall. (rifle is not always in vehicle)
Bought it new in 2010, 110,000 miles and not one problem. My 3rd Tacoma. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Yep. I split my 48's between a 2015 Sutphen, a 2013 or so F350 Demeres Ambulance, and occasionally a 110' Surphen telescoping platform. We got several new brush trucks similar to yours. Did y'all go with the V10 gasser or 6.7L diesel?
We got the 6.7 since the rest of the fleet is diesel too. I didn't show our second ambulance (about to be replaced this year), second engine (Pierce Saber), heavy rescue (Marion on an International Chassis, to be replaced next), tanker (Pierce on a Kenworth Chassis), brush engine/smaller tanker (Monroe on an International Chassis), and command vehicle (Suburban). I spend most of my time on the ambulances and engineering. I let the younger guys do the interior attacks these days. They like sweating more than I do! How do you like the Demers? I've heard good things, so I wondered what your experience has been. Are you working a 48/96 rotation? Our nearby city (Ottawa) does that rotation and they seem to like it.
I work 48 on 24 off between my fire department and EMS agency. And as far as interior attacks, send me on all of them! I'll gladly grab the nozzle or the search. May as well do it while I'm young so I can save and pay down on my new house. The Demers is pretty slick! I can send pics on Tuesday if you want so you can see the inside of the box. It's a very smart layout. Only issue is we've got so much stuff we have to switch to the F450. Hoping the hydraulic shocks will help because the air ride is garbage! Smart interior design and it's got the Stryker auto stretchers with load system. The place I came from was light years behind. The old lady and myself are much happier now at this new place!
Yeah, please do send some pictures! I'm interested to see other layouts. Good to know on the shocks, too. I hope our truck committee keeps that in mind.
I go on duty tomorrow and will grab some. Typical Frazer layout inside. And no I moved to Galveston about eighteen months ago and have been working for county and City EMS since Sent from my LG-LS993 using Tapatalk
@G.T.: I don't know about anyone else, but I'd love to see that rig when you've set up for a stay and everything is basically deployed...! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
