Would be very interesting to see and understand what you - as a trained medical professional or a member of the medical aid organizations - carry with you when not on duty/on a call, and what you would apply to which persons (like spouse, own kids, relatives, colleagues, stranger)? I do carry as part of my (off-duty) EDC: IFAK H&H mini compression bandage 3M Steri-Strips band-aids 4"x4" gauze pads (to apply on top of wound) paraffin gauze pad large gauze pad (for torso) medical tape disinfect liquid (octenisept) mylar blanket "hot hands" alcohol swabs cotton triangular bandage (for slings, make-shift TQ, stabilize an impalement object) nitrile gloves tweezers magnifying glass tick remover card cotton swabs first aid manual - to support laymans what and how to apply this stuff Trauma Kit Israeli pressure bandage TQ (SOFT-T wide or Cat Gen. 7 or SWAT-T) NAR z-folded gauze (for wound packing or wrap around extremities) HyFin mini vented chest seal (dual) nitrile gloves, N95/FFP2 mask, and swimming goggles (hand, mouth/noise and eye protection) trauma sheers I would apply all of those to me, my spouse, my kids and my relatives. I would apply most of it to colleagues and strangers; hesitate to use: disinfect liquid, gauze for wound packing, chest seal. How about you? What's okay in your jurisdiction, and how do you balance will and ability to help vs. potential legal consequences?

Pictures - good point My IFAK is part of my EDC bag which I'm taking when traveling out of town, hikes, tours, etc. It's designed as a "layman kit" = does not include anything that would not be considered as generic first aid stuff - hopefully avoiding any legal pitfalls, and hence should also be safe being used by a human not trained in (advanced) first aid. Soft case with 3 side zipper, measurements: 14cm x 10cm x 7cm (5.5" x 4" x 2.8") - not including the triangular bandage strapped on the back. The original first aid kit is sold once a year at LIDL grocery store chain in Germany for about 4 bucks - have replaced most of the kit, but case and some bandaids are a good starting point.
