any of you guys made a holder/neck lanyard for sunglasses? i've been thinking about it for the past week or so, i'm not really sure how to go about it? anybody got any ideas, post em up
Thanks! I work a second job as security at the local Bingo hall & that allows me 4 to 5 hr's to work on my knot tying.
Funny you should mention it, on my next free day I'm going to do just that. It's semipermanent, but I'm going to fasten the paracord on with shrinkwrap tubing. I might pull out the inner core of the paracord and slip it over the ends of the glasses and then shrink wrap it down or possibly just lay the cord against the glasses and shrink it on. I haven't decided yet if I'll use a cord lock and a bead or a sliding knot to adjust the length. If I was really fancy I would tie up a turkshead in a smaller gauge line and use that as my adjuster, but I'm a more practical boy. :luck:
yeah stormdrane pmed me about some that he made on the lanyard thread they are on page 13 i believe, i'm just not sure how i'm going to fasten it to my sunglasses. i don't really want to ruin my nice glasses with trying to shrink rap it or anything like that.
Excellent work, Mike! Another victim thoroughly succumbs to the addiction of knot work and joins the ranks of paracord junkies. ;D

Here's one I made for my fishing glasses... attached with a noose. They work great and look good as well IMO. I had the camera out for a lanyard post so I thought I'd post the wrap job I did on My RAT IZULA I tried the way that I found on the web but I changed it up a little. The one thing the bugged me was their was no way to carry the fire starter rod silently so I made one out of a cheap pen barrel that I crushed a littleso it gripped the rod and wrapped it in wall knots. I like that. I only use these things when on water. I need to come up with something to specifically make sure mine float if I drop them in the drink. do you have a link to the weave you used?
Here's a slight variation on the "Paracord Pirate" invented by someone else. My son, nieces and nephews love these little guys. Folks at the office have started asking for them to use as "Voodoo Dolls", too. Two variations I do are 1) leaving a loop on top of the lanyard knot head for an attachment point and 2) cutting and fraying said loop to make wild "hair". It's insanely easy and loved by kids of all ages... I'd like to give credit where credit is due - if you know who originally posted the "Paracord Pirate" please let me know!
Thanks. Now I have to make these for my wife. lol. They are cool, though. Couldn't find the original online.
