Is that the sailor's bottle knot for carring their rum bottle on their hip ?!

 

I have heard this knot named "jug sling knot" and "bottle sling knot" and I am sure there are many other names that apply.

So where is the best place to buy paracord now from do you guys think? I was buying mine from Survival Pax, the E.L. Wood stuff, but they are going out of business. I haven't really bought any in a year or so and am now wanting a few more colors.

A paracord shoelace knot. I use an extra turn/wrap beyond the common shoestring bow knot, which can offer a bit more of a secure grip with slippery laces that might come undone/untied too easily on their own. YMMV
