Welp that didn’t last long. I guess my fancy 550 cord knot tying needs some work. That didn’t hold up for one day wit me at work. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Been a few weeks with the snap shackle keychain and I like using it more and more as time goes on. I was uncertain how much I'd like using it for the first few days but now I really like how it dangles into the pocket. I tried a pocket dangler or two but I keep a knife clipped to the same pocket as I place the keys. So that was a no go for me. In any case, I recieved a couple 'stainless' 35mm shackles from ebay the other day as well as some type 1 paracord to try a much thinner/lighter version of my keychain. Versus the first larger and heavier type 3 cord with the rifle/paintball shackle. (I gave one of those to a friend and that it also keeps growing on more and more.) Note: different lengths are on purpose, to find the right length for my pockets.
Here are three ending knots that I use to finish off my four stand projects. The same methods can be used for projects with more strands involved
Still playing with keychains. I haven't moved up to lanyards, bracelets or leashes yet. I think I'll try a snake knot or maybe a 2 post spool weave. I should stop looking at @Stormdrane blog. Too many ideas. The new 50mm snap shackle, type 3 cord and clip. Clip, type 1 cord & keyring. A comparison pic of the 35mm & 50mm key chains.
Made a few Key / Wallet retainers. Made a couple more but gave them away. I prefer the brass clips and like the additional brass beads on a couple of them.
I need a glod soure for GITD chord, the good stuff. Not a mile worth but enough to add some emergency glow to my stuff...
I added a handle wrap to a CRKT Woods Nobo Tomahawk that one of my sisters had given me this past Christmas, using leather and paracord. I've tied/untied a number of different variations since I received it, but still haven't decided on making any of them permanent, lol...
I like the braided leather and i like how you wrapped it towards the bottom, looks like it would be a better grip and more comfortable than the braided Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
