You could also try the daisy chain circle. I have over 12' of 1/8" cord in a circle a little over 2" in diameter.
Pull tag end from loop 1 and deploy as much cord as required.

Cut cord at point A (bight of loop) releasing the needed cord and tighten by pulling on new end.

It is easy to add a split ring to the daisy chain ring. The tag end can be buried under the hitches so it doesn't come undone in your pocket. 12' of cord in this ring. I could have made the ring even smaller. Tony

Needed a "handle" for my carabiner, so I decided to take some liberties with a crown sinnet to make it a bit thicker.

Out of genuine curiosity, what would one do with a "handle" on their biner?

This one isn't used in my climbing gear (anymore) and is primarily used to hold up my bear bag. The handle helps keeps my hands out of the opening so its easier to clip in the lines for the bear bag.

It also helps make sure that it doesn't accidentally un-retire. :)

It would also make it easier to find and pull from a bag, box, or cargo pocket. It would also make carrying a load earlier if the biner is used to bundle things together for transport. Also, handle + biner + keys = sap that really isn't, technically, a sap for those who live in places with restrictive weapon laws. I like it :).
