Busted out my MUT on the range today to: Adjust mag pouch retention for shooting buddy borrowing a mag pouch Adjust holster retention for a second shooting buddy Bend a third shooting buddy's range bag shoulder strap gate clip back to where the gate worked as designed Loosen thumb screws and wing nuts that were torqued down too tight for target stands
Used my Wingman to tighten some allthread into sammys that I was using to hang 1/2" pipe for airline at work last night.
Used my surge with bit extension to pull a cover off an hvac unit, saving me a trip to the van. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Stripped out a hex head screw on a brand-new never fired Sig p938 with the leatherman Wave and a hex bit from the leatherman bit set, which also rounded off. Thanks Leatherman, I love your multi tools, but I do believe that my toenails are made from harder stuff than your bits are made of.... good thing I bought the bit extender, I'll be using standard sized impact grade dewalt bits front this point forward.
I see similar displays of stupidity. But unless you know the details, my driving ability, and the items involved you have no business commenting unless you have ALL the facts!
Speaking for the collective of myself and other commenters. We do have the facts. Those who claim to be able to multi-task whilst behind the wheel are deceiving themselves and murdering others. And pushing the industry and society towards robotic vehicles. Driving is not a right. It is a privilege. And put of that privilege is to be aware of obligations to be safe towards everyone else sharing the road with you. You seem to think that tasks such as maintenance on a nose hair trimmer rank as equal to fulfilling the obligation to be safe. So sad that your state licenses such imbecilic mindsets. Just glad that most of the time (and hopefully forever) I won't be on the same road as you. Moshe ben David
King James version of the Bible, Book of Proverbs, 16:18, "Pride goeth before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall." Just saying, unless you are operating one of those self-driving autos, or simply trolling.
Doing what you described is dangerous, no matter how you put it. Your failure to see this doesn't change that at all. That's what everybody that was ever involved in an accident while multi-tasking thought too. Or for that matter drivers that think they can drink and drive safely. What exactly make you different from all those thousands? That you haven't been involved in an accident yet?
What makes me different is I am not part of the dippidty-do crowd. The people not aware of their surroundings, filling out paperwork as they are driving, standing in front of doorways trying to talk/making a phone call, and so on; the list is quite extensive to the point I was thinking of writing a book about it. I make an effort not to do everything I despise. That is what makes me different.
