I used my Umnum the past couple of days to: cut tags off of new christmas items, slice open items encased in thick plastic, slice potatoes, cut laps of butter for pineapple upside down cake, and lastly to use as a REALLY big tooth pick to get a piece of pepper out from between my teeth. Not to worry, I ALWAYS wash my knife with soap and water when doing food prep!

If you polish it you may not want to use it....BTW, for safety, I always use heavy shears on clamshells.

Used my Victorinox Soldier SAK for cutting the ribbon, string, and general fibers that get wound up in the vacuum beater bar. (stabbed myself in the hand by my thumb btw) I also used my Spyderco military to cut a gallon water jug in half as recommended for dying the shingles in the dollhouse I'm building for the girlfriend's god-daughter.

I used a stainless Mora to cut up turkey and ham scraps, and veggies, for two different soups made of leftovers.

I used my Sage I to open the box my new tv came in (and the ropes I used to tie it down w/ to get it home).
Its a 46" Sony Bravia LED/LCD flatscreen. It came with a free 160gb PS3 as well. For under a grand, I think it was a great buy, and the Sage I worked wonders on the cardboard and rope.

My John W Smith Extreme SD-3 certaintly lived up to it's "Extreme" moniker on Tuesday. I used it to open up a couple of DVD's, AND it opened up a pack of MM's plain. I loves my MM's!! And my SD-3!
