    If I went to a car boot sale, I would get fleas…

    Excellent scores, of which I am not one bit jealous. Nope.

    Didn't know about this thread. But this belongs here I guess.

    Not today, but yesterday on Kingsday a lot of flea markets. Mostly kids with their toys. Like this one that I couldn't resist...

    I never strike gold at flea markets but i still do visit them every now and then... Its fun to see what crap people try to sell at all kinds of prices.

    I am however superduper lucky at thrift-stores. One of my best finds yet was this puppy for 7 and-a-half euro's;

    No EDC stuff, but I scored a Playmobil ship with a british flag for 2 euros. Model no.5140. Retail price is about 50 bucks for these. Not with the two original british soldiers but six pretty cool pirates with their pirate EDC. So that is even better! - Kid loves it.

    A few weeks ago I picked up 2 Doskocil (pre plano buy out) double rifle cases with the keys at goodwill for $10. Looked like they have never been used. Lucked out on them as the employees didn't know what they were. The goodwills here will grab anything they know is worth anything and throw it on ebay before it hits the floor. Poking and prodding around and the same model has sold on gun forums for $40-60 depending on condition.

    Today stopped by a thrift shop and grabbed a working 1960s smith corona coronet electric typewriter for $5. My son been wanting an old typewriter so it's his. Also grabbed a spare bottle capper for $3 NIP, same model I gave about $15 for a few years ago on amazon.

    Been about a year since I really hit up the thrift store and flea markets on a regular. Everybody has gotten where they do a search on ebay, see a prime example of their item consistently re listed for BIN $100, and their wore out piece of crap must be worth $99. Get the same worn out line how it's "selling" on ebay for $100.

    I could be wrong, but the top one sure looks like a clone of a ZT 0456. Pretty widely cloned/pirated!

    Yeah that particular one can be had from zon in 2 or 3 colors marketed by Eafengrow 0456, they claim D2 on that and many they sell but they've been tested as 440C and I believe 8cr14mov. Some of the budget china blades are as advertised but Eafengrow is not one of them

    Bought the Eafengrow Marfione DOC clone to see if I liked it in hand enough to buy the real one, pretty well made but the steel is really soft.

    Last week I found a 1971 dated camillus military pocket knife in good shape for basically pocket change. Posted a picture of it on another forum. A member over there posted that he had been looking for one. I offered it for trade for something of equal value. We agreed on a vintage true temper boys axe head. He was traveling for work so it was there Friday when he got home. I had enquired on the same forum about where to find a 24 inch handle. Yesterday I got a P.M. telling me the tracking number and that he shipped me a 24 inch handle with it
