Sweet! I just picked one up earlier this month. Been wanting one for a while. I'm having trouble finding a kydex holster for it.

The list of people who don't make kydex holsters for a 1911 is shorter than the list of those who do, but if I were buying kydex right now, I might go with G-Code.

Bowhunter84, that holster deserves mention in the Holster Picture Thread! (http://www.edcforums.com/threads/holster-picture-thread.116984/). I, for one, would like to know the maker!

Yup, but his has a rail and has 4.25" barrel. I had to modify a 1911 holster to fit another Sig (TTT) 1911 as it has a non standard dust cover.

I'd like something that is designed for this style, and not play "lets try another holster". I've played that game a lot over the years. And while Bladetec makes one (for this gun). I kinda want something different.

I have 5 1911 holsters as it is.

Ah. I haven't looked for Commander-length holsters with rail. The G-Code Incog is offered specifically for a 4.2 inch Sig with rail, which is actually surprising to me, because they don't offer all that wide a fitment selection. It's spendy for kydex, though.

The first shot that counts is the only one that does.

This is absolutely wonderful! I don't have my CCW yet and after I will I won't be able to afford a 1911 anyway, but dang, this is lovely (as is the gun as I've already said)!!!

Depends on the time of year, which determines what I'll be wearing. So it can be anything from .380 to .45 and whatever it is it will be in a Glock!

Headed to the beach for a week of sand and Sun, I opted for the overwhelming firepower of my Armi Tangfolio GT 27 chambered in the pocket cannon 25 CAP.

.38 spl at the moment, or my .40 Glock if I feel the situation warrants it (very rarely, these days).

I'm enjoying carrying my LCR so far. I debated getting the .357 briefly, but it's a little heavier and I've read too many articles about how .357's power is barrel-length sensitive. With a sub-2-inch barrel, given that you'd be putting up with major kick for not too much gain in velocity, I was comfortable with .38 spl; it's still an effective caliber with modern ammo. I'm running Hornady Critical Defense +P in the LCR. I think the Glock is full of Speer Gold Dots.

The Glock 23 normally resides locked up under the bed with a light attached for home defense (I used to unlock the safe at night but we have a 1-year-old running around these days). I bought it back when I was an armored truck driver, but I'm not married to .40. Actually I really wish it was a Glock 19 now. A basic compact Glock is just about my ideal combat gun—I shoot them really well. Eventually I will end up with a G19 and a single-stack 9mm for a little carry variety.
