True EDC? .380. Would I like something larger? Yes, and if I carried something larger I wouldn't carry it for long so I'm left with a mouse gun. Better something than nothing.
But of course, 007 has rocked the coveted 9mm short since Thunderball in 1965.
9mm. Any time I'm wearing pants and not prohibited by law.
9mm if I want capacity.
.45acp if want a big frickin' hole.

.32 (Seecamp) when I want to deep conceal
.380 (Sig P238) Most of the time
9mm when I can dress around a G26
.40 IMO it is a nice middle ground between 9 mm and 45 acp.
I used to always carry .45 but my carry philosophy changed and for the last 4 years I've only carried 9mm.
9 or 45 depending on attire and neighborhood
That is one sexy HK.
I carry 9mm Winchester Ranger 147g.
45acp daily in a G41 or G30. Every once in a while I'll break out a 1911.
9mm G26 depending on weather/dress
90grain XTP in the G42
124grain Gold Dot in the G17
357 with a 125gr sjhp in a snubby.
no debate here, carry what works for you, like someone said, 'something is better than nothing'
I carry 9mm, Speer Gold Dot 124gr right now, also have a slew of Hornady Critical Defense also 124gr.
Colt .45 semi auto most days with either a .38 or a .380 backup. Just heard on the scanner a mom and kids locked in the bathroom. Intruder is in the basement. Mom has a handgun with her and husband is investigating. Sometimes any caliber is better than no caliber. What's the best handgun and caliber? The one setting next to me on the couch. These scanner calls get me going. And shots fired calls all evening. So choose the best caliber and gun you can shoot well and be safe.
9mm, Hornady Critical Defense. Sometimes .357 Mag, depending if imma be in the woods or not.
My 32 seecamp always , at times a k9 or a 357 jframe.
.40 normally but 380 pocket carry when I have to.
ETA: I also like my Ruger LCR revolver in 22 WMR.
