I just bought a Maxped Malaga. I am looking for a water bottle and carrier to go with it. The 5.11 H2O carrier looks like it would work well. However the dimensions, 7.5 x 4.1, don't appear to work with bottles over 20oz. What bottle have you used with this carrier? I am looking for something in insulated stainless steel. I am open to other carrier suggestions too. Thanks.

You could consider the Maxpedition Naglene Holder. It comes in 10"x4" and 12"x5" versions. Either size will give you several different bottle options.

Camelbak makes a similar pouch to hold their 1 liter bottle.

I considered the rolypoly. It looks like it secures at only one point, which would make it clumsy to carry IMO. The 10x4 looks too big for the Malaga. That is why I was drawn to the 511. The kleen kanteen insulated 16oz is 7.25x2.93 w/o the cap. That would work, but not optimal for the carrier. The 20oz is 8.75" high w/o the cap, too tall for the 511. The Nalgene Everyday 32oz wide mouth is 8.5x3.5. And they are as common as dirt. It makes we wonder what bottle they had in mind when they designed this. Are the specs published on the 511 website correct?

    Hi,

FWIW, I have the 10 x 4 and had it MOLLE'd to the side of my 5.11 Moab 6. It fit fine (took up all one side of the 6). I used it to carry this
