1.big blade - this is mainly for food prep.
2.small blade - this is mainly for opening boxes , packages , letters.
3.scissors - this is mainly for cutting tags of new clothes , products , etc.
4.saw - this is mainly for camp tasks / wood tasks outside (not DIY at home).
5.can opener / small flat head screwdriver - home / office / camp

I still wondering when Victorinox will start to use the combination tool (can opener / bottle opener) on all their tools like huntsman.
In the huntsman it would save one tool place and they could add a nail file for example.
It will be perfect in terms of size / usage.

    In order...
    1. Toothpick
    2. Tweezers
    3. Scissors (would be #1, but I carry a Micra)
    4. File
    5. Blade (would be higher if I didn't carry a go-to Mini-Grip)

To paraphrase a well known martial arts maxim: A true SAK bearer has no favorite tools.

In order of frequency of use

    1) Toothpick!!
    2) Bottleopener ;o)
    3) Scissors
    4) Knife
    5) Screwdriver

I generally carry Climber, Compact or Waiter but just got the Swisschamp and love that it squeezes every tool into such a neat well engineered package. It's a bit heavy for pocket carry but sits nicely in a belt sheath..

    1. Scissors
    2. Scissors
    3. Scissors
    4. Big knife
    5. Small screwdriver (end of the can opener)

Those are some of the best scissors I ever use. I even pick them before grabbing regular scissors a lot of times. I don't think I fully appreciated them until I had a free hand out army knife from a vendor. Those scissors were near worthless.

A Swisschamp was my only SAK for a good number of years, also belt carried. At some point the sheath wore out and while looking for a replacement I came across a sale on a sheath with a paired Tinker for almost the same price as the sheath alone. At first, I just left the Tinker in a drawer and continued with my Swisschamp, but gradually saw the point of "less is more," or something like that. Anyway, now some years later, I have 4 SAKs that I rotate, depending on what's going on, with the Tinker my usual EDC. I make up for it, though, by carrying a lot of extra stuff :Juggle: .

Somewhere I saw a picture of a Cadet Nail File that had been modded to have an awl tip.
Can anyone point me to that? Has anyone done this?
The pic I saw left enough file to work. But about 1/3 of the tip had been thinned.

I'd carry my Cadet WAY more often if I could do that mod!
