Just watched The Invisible Man. it was ok. Saw the 'twists' a mile off . Pretty predictable and pedestrian, but entertainment nonetheless. better than a lot of Jason Blum's output.

Just fwished watching the 1994 THE STAND miniseries. generally a decent enough watch as I've said before, but it is a reminder why I hate Stephen King's writing. The man cannot finish a story. So frustrating. The last 30 to 40 minutes was like season 8 of Game of Thrones. Really stupid.

watching last night's Prince special on CBS. Lots of good artists on it. Guess I am too old to recognize some of them.

Trench 11 on Amazon Prime. It's a WW1 movie similar to Overlord (which I really liked). Not convinced with this though.

EDIT: Well acted, nice cinematography and decent synth soundtrac . Not particularly gory, scary or tense. It was ok. Wouldn't recommend.

Started “Star Trek Discovery” on the Flix. I’m about six episodes in. It’s a wild ride.

I have a diehard Trekkie friend who is tightwadish and refused to pay for CBS all access to watch Disco. Back last year, I said to just get the 7 day free trial and binge. Nothing. Now he just started it with the 30 free trial and also watched Picard. He saw the error in his ways. Wouldn't blink twice to buy a few $7 beers at a bar.

I really dislike what has been done to Star Trek by the folks who made Discovery and Picard. What happened to the utopian ideals and likeable characters? One season of STD and one EPISODE of Picard was enough for me. Fair enough if you like it, but it really isn't made for me.

Edit: I love DS9 far more than any other Star Trek series.

I've got right wingy friends that won't watch Star Trek because of those utopian ideals and likable characters. Go figure. Give me spaceships, aliens and time travel scenarios and I'll watch it. Twelve Monkeys, The Travelers, Continuum, et al. Disco is bright and shiny with 16:9 aspect. STNG is hard to watch in 4:3 and low rez.

Good material is always worth watching in its native format. Case in point---Casablanca in B&W or The Day the Earth Stood Still (original-not the Keanu fiasco)

Watched 'The Night Eats The World' on Netflix. Low budget foreign (but in English) zombie movie. Good acting and atmosphere. I liked the silent zombies.

I rather liked Star Trek discovery, less keen on Picard, despite the fact it had jeri Ryan in it.

Been catching up on Parker’s Trail from the beginning. Impressive young man.

I generally don't watch TV, so I haven't even opened this thread before.
However I stumbled across a very entertaining youtube channel last week. I might be a little biased, cause he is a fellow Norwegian, but I truly believe this channel is universally entertaining.
The channel is Farmer E, As I understand he's an urban guy who left the city and spent all his money to buy an old farm and start with water buffalos (first in Norway).
He has some content that touches on the EDC theme, and that's how I found him, through this video suggested buy YouTube:

Watching a show about farming in Norway might not seem like an obvious choice to many of you, but his attitude to life, sense of humor, filming skills and the occasional EDC content make this a channel that truly deserves more viewers. That's just my humble opinion. I don't know him or have any affiliation with him.
