Spec Ops Brand better bdu belt. Very light and NEVER slips through buckle or loosens. Does not stretch and holds my leatherman in a SpecOps brand supersheath without the top of the belt rolling or sagging.

I have a brown leather braided belt (three strands) from Land's End, which I have had for >10yrs now. It's nice there are no punched holes, the buckle part just goes through spaces in the braid. This will be great for when I lose weight :sigh: , I won't have to punch holes or get a new belt.

I also use a generic nylon strap with plastic buckle; got it REI I think.

I have been rocking a belt from Kary for a while now, and he really knows his stuff. I had another 1.75 cobra riggers from another top gear maker, and i ditched it for Karys. I wear that thing day in and day out.

I have just received three of Kary's - Black, coyote and OD. I have to get one in ranger green. My dog has matching coyote collar and leash. The man makes some fine nylon gear. I love the belts, low profile, sturdy and well made, my new found favourites.

I usually wear a Beltman belt. I bought one of the Spec Ops "Better BDU belts" for half price, on the Spec Ops site. Great belt, I bought an other for full price in another color. Perfect for summer wear. BTW the SpecOps belt works fine as a gunbelt

It really depends on what you want from your belt. If you simply want to keep your pants up a rope would work (Jethro) :).

If you carry a sidearm you're going to want something a bit stiffer so that it will offer more support and distribute the weight evenly with out dragging your drawers down. I roll with a Wilderness Tactical 1.5. The next go round I will spring for the Ti buckle version as the steel buckle is fairly weighty. I also have a nice 5.11 I got free with a pair of pants but I haven't tried it yet.
