Probably not marketed or available in the Netherlands, I'm guessing...You don't know what you're missing, though...

I read it. I'll stick to fried eggs and bacon, thanks. I work hard outside year round.

I’d consider it, if I’d have the stomach flu, maybe.

Like a lot of other things, don't knock it until you've tried it... You ever wonder what made the first egg-eater give it a try? Probably went like: Hey, that thing just fell out of that chicken's butt....let's cook it & eat it!

A hot cereal (less texture by far than oats; more of a mushy porridge). I think its heyday here in the US (and it is a US product TTBOMK) was in the 50's and 60's. Some of us grew up with it... :)

Took delivery of my new pellet grill/smoker on Wednesday. Did the assembly and "burn in" that night.

Slapped on a little baby brisket flat I had in the freezer yesterday at 5AM. The grill has wifi and an app to control it from anywhere so off to work I went.

Monitored and adjusted temps through the day...

...and it was done when I got home...

@ghuns: interesting about that grill. Your pic of the brisket certainly looks appetizing. I'm not clear though about the grill. Is it basically an indoor, countertop grill or is it intended for outdoor use? I have to confess, even with the ability to monitor temperature etc remotely, I'd have concerns about possible fire hazard due to flare-ups or whatnot; if it is outdoors I'd also be a bit concerned about the grill being knocked about by wind, a falling tree branch... a squirrel or other critter with asbestos covered paws... you get the picture. One reads so many stories of weird accidents with grills and deep fryers resulting in extensive fire damage....

Can you comment and/or shed some light? Maybe some info on make, brand, even a pic?

    Thanks

    Am Yisrael Chai!

It's a Rec Tec pellet grill/smoker. So it's meant for outdoor use. Though I tend to do most of my grilling, even with charcoal, in my garage. I have plenty of room, high ceilings, and lots of windows and doors.

Because of the construction of the grill, flare ups are almost impossible. It's basically a convection oven with hardwood pellets as fuel.

Didn't realize how large it is. Looks impressive; no wonder the brisket looks so good!
