Some delicious boneless skinless sardines packed in olive oil...right out of the can. A few drops of El Yucateco chile habanero sauce and a bite of saltines. YUM!!!!

Delicious snack/lunch on a snowy, wet, day.

    ;)

edit...might also go for a couple meaty slices of aged Sopressata Salame (sweet fennel and chili pepper) as well. (cut with the SAK Pioneer ALOX, of course).

    Cheers

The 'Bacon' SPAM rocks too! As does the "Hickory Smoked". Well...and the 'Jalepeno', ... and the 'Cheese', ...and the 'Black Pepper', ...and the 'Hot & Spicy'! ...and...and...:frantic:

Try slicing it thinly, frying it and then put it on some crusty white bread with some coarse mustard. I think I'm going to open another can now...

    Cheers

Wow! Looks great!! I'm assuming fried oysters, correct?

(never acquired a taste for them personally. Fried clams, absolutely...and raw oysters, but never fried).

Yes, fried oysters like the one on the bottom of the plate.
The secret to good fried oysters is get the small ones, bread them with cracker meal, pat them very thin and fry them crispy.
    This sandwich is rediculously good.

This sandwich recipe is from a bar that specializes in sandwiches.
There best sandwiches include a meat, cheese, seafood and bacon.
My favorite sandwich has ham, swiss cheese, crab salad and bacon toasted. :hungry::hungry:

Tagine Chicken (...cooked in a real "tagine")
    - Chicken thighs (browned in EVOO)
    - Ras El Hanout spices (spicy N. African mixture)
    - Onion
    - Garlic
    - Saffron
    - Ginger
    - Carrot slivers
    - Golden raisins
    - Dried plums
    - Honey
    - all cooked in a chicken stock and served with some Pine nut cous cous on the side

Super easy to make, and off-the-rails GOOD!!

    Traditional N. African dish
