    I'm from Norway, and we do have some very strange and maybe disgusting foods, but this is the first time I heard of this practice. :) Doesn't mean it's not a regional Norwegian thing tough.

    Fish and chips today. Nice piece of battered fried cod, some smoked "sprotjes" (baby sardines I guess ) and raw herring with nice big fat chips. And don't forget the beer to wash it down.

    Breakfast - (range) Chicken eggs come from the coop (orange yolk and all), bacon comes from a custom cured hog we bought (we don't raise pigs)
    Lunch - Ham (from the same pig), mustard and homemade bread.
    Dinner - Some cut of beef from one of our steers. (I just laugh at grocery store prices, beef prices are crazy!!!!! ....but good for us!!)
    Dessert - Something the wife makes in the dutch oven!

    Life is good!

    Tot be honest this was taken yesterday but I'm enjoying the leftovers for breakfast right now. Ribs, brats, sateh, weißwurst and shashlicks. And potato salad for good measure.[​IMG]
