Not too bad, but you note the maple smell up front and get a slightly sweet taste on the back end. On the rocks, it wasn't as sharp as regular knob Creek. I don't think I drank more because of the sweetness though. Price was comparable. Not junk, that's for sure. Semper Paratus, Semper Vigilans.
Made a mega score at the store today, picked up Bell's Mars IPA and 3F's Dreadnaught, plus I have a 3F's Arctic Panzer Wolf sitting in the fridge.
Made a stop at 3Floyds on the way across IN to Iowa. Anyone from these parts have recommendations for a good beer store on the way to DSM? Driving from MD for a wedding, flying back to CA after this weekend. Looking for stuff I would otherwise never get to try. Picked up a "bonus" 3Floyds Chevalier Bertrand du Guesclin (potential trade?) from FFF that I didn't pick up on till out of town. Might have suitcase space for more. To remain on topic, will be drinking a 3F Munsterfest shortly...
Made a pit stop at Three Floyds in Indiana. Pictured beers are Chevalier Bertrand du Guesclin sour ale and Cimmerian Sabretooth Berserker DIPA. Side note: This brewery has the longest beer names I've encountered yet, plus the coolest labels. The Cimmerian, Founder's Porter and Three Floyd's Munsterfest. The porter is tasty; drank most of those before flying out to make weight on the checked bag. Not pictured is the four pack of Bell's Two-Hearted Ale. Saved one for the trip home. And Three Floyd's was out of Zombie Dust.
Picked up some Founder's Breakfast Stout - I have a lot of beer to get through. First world problems, I guess.
