Bring a drawstring bag next time and skip the locker. At the gyms that I've been to, the staff members always break open locks for you as long as you can identify what's inside afterwards. Doesn't take an idiot to figure out how this can be abused.
Well, I guess this time i will be taking a loss. I spoke to the gym manager one last time today and said he did not see anything in the cameras bla bla bla. I was visiting my brother in chicago during a business trip so i used his bicycle and a gym pass while i was here for the week. I will be getting on a plane back to NYC this afternoon and heading home without the cadet. I guess these are the risks we take when we bring them out with us everyday. Thank you for everyone who offered a replacement SAK, it means a lot but i happen to have quite a few once i get back home as well as the Marlboro Adventure Team one I just picked up while in chicago Good Bye Chicago, you have left me Cadet-less.
I use a model called voltage valet. Targus also makes one. It has a wire that comes out to loop through stuff. You can't access the battery without the lock code. If the wire gets cut, it goes off immediately. If the lock gets moved a certain amount, it chirps a warning first. That gives you time to put the code in to unlock it before it starts screaming. The guy who came to our house ti install our DirecTV stole my mom's blur that she had carried since Dec 02. She tracked him down and forced him to give it back.
Sounds like wallet was ok? Yours only locker hit?? Sorry it happened what u gunna do different next time? I have locker at work been good so far.. One guy at work "hid" his stuff in his non work shoes in locker room and... Surprise!!! It got stolen. Shoe = dumb idea.
I carry a dosh wallet for the gym so i can keep it on me at all times. I am ordering the voltage lock a fellow member recommended
It really does, I carried the cadet that was stolen for about 4 years so it definitely sucked when it was gone. I feel complete prepared
