that's why it is made of sterling. sterling actively kills microbes. I hates me some microbes. the cooties that might be on the hook are as good as dead.

what if feces is on there, you'll still be touching poop
    same for urine.

im not saying its not a good idea, i just think its a hundred bucks on something so you dont touch the handles but then you touch the thing that touches the handles.
I prefer my shoe and/or using tp/paper towels to open doors.
    but thats just me.

interesting point. so what I really need to get next is some sort of disposable hook holder thing.

Why not wad up some TP and use that to flush the toilet? That'd literally cost you nothing.

If you really think of it the dirtiest part in a public washroom is the stall door knob, you may want to add a slot screwdriver on there to turn the knob.

I hate touching anything in a public restroom and can see your need for this. I will stick with the old kickstart on the handle, wash hands, open door with paper. Unless there is one of those :censored: blow dryers :frantic: Maybe I do need one.

Ever watch the TV show Monk? Sometimes I feel like Monk "lite"

i love it. i made this same thread (copy and pasted the original post) on two different, yet overlapping in interest, forums and it's generated two completely different conversations. i would have bet money that the two threads would be somewhat similar.

at any rate, i'll say the hook, while impractical, has done at least half of its intended purpose and generated conversation and awareness that we live in a time where we can do things that were only in science fiction books for our parents.

Yeah, this thread probably should have been more focused on how aeesome it is that we can print stuff like that now :)

At my job we have work instructions so that if you don't know how to do the job that you already have, you can just read how to do it apparently. I've asked if I could just read the work instructions for the CEO and be the boss. Maybe you could do that?

Not to hijack but I agree that it is really cool that you printed your germaphobe tool. It appeals to the germaphobe in me.

Yeah-think of some plastic slip-on thing that you could dispose of after use.
