Aren't you maybe being a little bit over critical? I understand your desire for consistency, but come on, an auto that is gaining/loosing nothing more than 10 seconds a day? That's usually good enough to keep any auto owner happy. My orange Mako has stayed in the +/- 10 sec range since new. How much wear is your's getting? Mine seemed to settle down after several cycles of multi day wear followed by complete wind downs.

Also, I couldn't agree more about Mako and NATO/Zulus. I'm willing to bet that there is a higher ratio of Makos on nylon than almost any other diver. Guess thats what happens when you have a great case and movement on so so straps/bracelets. BTW, let me know if you ever hear of an after market bracelet with curved end for the Mako.

I have been wearing my Seiko SRP043K pretty much 24/7 over the last 4 weeks or so. It came off my wrist 3 days ago for photo shoot with my other watches where I took the opportunity to set them all to my GPS...pretty much to the second.

3 Days later, my SRP043 has lost 1.5 seconds....I'm pretty happy with that.

No problem. I'll let you know if I find something like that.

It just bothers me because my Mako has been consistant for several weeks until a few days ago.

That is one cool (very large) looking watch. It looks like you have a weather station on your wrist.

    Hi All,

Picked up the Maratac JSAR last week and it has not left my wrist since. I swapped out the rubber strap for a zulu strap. Not to take away from the rubber strap, but I like the zulus more. As soon as I can save up more money, I'll go ahead and purchase the SS bracelet for it!! But all in all a very nice watch!!

I just bought it yesterday.I was leaning towards an automatic Orient, but when I saw this one I knew I have to have it (pricey too). The adjusting is really weird-for the hands to move you have to press a button (which is where the crown should be) many times hard.As for the digital part, the sales girl adjusted it, but I'm having a tough time figuring how all the other functions work. After posting this I'm going to scour Casio's website. But all in all it's a big and impressive watch. And because it doesn't have a second hand it doesn't tick at all.Elegance in silence. :p
Edit: I found the manual after some searching, but its in the manual archives section.Strange.Anyway, I figured out how the digital part can be set and how to access and use the other functions.

Very nice. The lack of a second sweep hand is a deal breaker for me otherwise I'd seriously consider it.

Gotta love that Monster lume! If I got one of each variation I'd hang them from the ceiling as a chandelier.

I have a timex camper - best 18 bucks i ever spent. i wear it when i'm working on the car, yardwork, etc. it's the i don't give a crap watch.

lucien piccard chrono with a nice leather strap is suit/work wear. blue faced with a black strap. very classic looking watch.

And a swiss army alliance non-chrono - all stainless with a black face. this is my everyday watch.

i'm thinking about a citizen eco-drive military chrono model...
