me 2! or this one: http://store.koboldwatch.com/collections/watches/products/phantom-chronograph but dang those prices
My wife bought me a rise an for Christmas. I wanted a Mudman but she couldn't find the one I wanted and got me a Riseman instead. Gotta say I fell in love with it. We live in the foothills of the Cascade mountains and ride our horses in he mountains a lot. I like playing around with the altimeter. Also the barometer is fairly accurate. It has allowed me to get to cover a few times when I noticed the barometric pressure drop. Sorry you don't care for yours. GShocks are kind of love it or hate it kinda watch.
A watch I dislike! My "Navy SEAL" watch. Got it in 2000 and I thought it was the coolest. Never spent so much $$$ on a watch before. Had it a week and got it covered in mud. Took it off and tossed it in the shower. I actually watched, almost in slow motion, the crown shoot off the watch and straight down the drain. The water was running so of course there was moisture inside later. It was nothing I hadn't done to any of my G-shocks before. Some tuff watch, huh?! Anyway I gave it to my buddy who was about to leave for Ranger school. He called Luminox and had it fixed. Not sure if it was under warranty. After his school he came to visit and gave me the watch back. I wore it off and on over the years and actually forgot about it. Last time I remember seeing it was in 2007. I chucked it willy nilly in a box. A few months ago my parents sent me a box, well tons of boxes, full of my ******. I found the watch in there. I replaced the battery and put it on my dresser. After learning a bit about watches it just doesn't impress me. Plus the whole Navy SEAL thing is lame. I know a few now and they don't wear it! So, why am I wearing it. It's beat up and junky... Perfect for a hippy-ish backpacking trip to South America this summer. I kinda hope it gets stolen!!! Story over... PIX
Man that sucks! I've had good luck with mine. I think the thing I like best is the weight (or lack of) of the carbon case. Are the actual "Seal" models heavier?
Mine's very light. I guess that could be a plus. I had been wearing my MSAR for a week or two before putting the Lumi on so I did notice it. I think I like a bit of heft. Not sure what you mean by actual "Seal" models. Mines a seal model. I believe the 3900 series are the only one's that have NAVY SEALS printed on the face. Luminox does make many different watch styles and some are heavier.
That's what I meant, although on further inspection mine says that on the back of the case. I just wasn't sure if there was a difference (like case material or something).
I wore mine to Mother's Day lunch yesterday, too! Excellent selection. What I'm wearing today, although sadly I'm not hunting as the picture shows. Funny that there was a discussion of these watches just above.
Love Invictas Submariner homage. Simple, elegant, masculine. Clear case back, Screw down crown, 200m water resistant for $90? Hard to beat. Now that we got that out the way, hot day in SoCal! Wearing shorts and slippers with my Seiko! "Fortune favors the prepared mind." -Louis Pasteur
