I did get it! In the same Amazon box as a Spyderco Manix 2 as well. I love the watch, it's definitely worth what I paid for it and I would buy it again. I like the shape of it, and it fits my wrist well (even though I have smaller than average wrists).

The lume is pretty decent, not that I need it often, and it feels like a quality watch. One weird thing though - I'm not sure if this is normal or not, but the Day indicator is in two languages, English and Spanish. It alternate between the languages, but if I set it to an English day it will skip over the Spanish one so it always remains on English. Just thought it was a weird thing but I'm not a watch guy so I wouldn't know.

Sorry for the awful photo, but I had to use the flash for it.

I did have to cut down the end of the strap though. I use the 3rd smallest hole (I can go to 2nd if I want it really snug) and the "leftover" strap extended too far for me so I just trimmed it off with shears. It extended into the "wavy" part of the band you can see in the pictures above, so far that the sliding holder thing couldn't get up to it. I still need to clean it up more, but you can't even tell unless you look at it up close.

both my watches that have day indicators (a citizen and an orient) do the same. although I thought the days where in French. could be wrong though (or it could be a European version) I suspect they do it to save the costs of producing different versions for each and every country. that way, one design does for two places.

It's standard to have bilingual days on Seikos (and many other watches), in order to cover the market - I have one in arabic I think, but mostly they seem to be French.

Really nice looking watch that. Understated and easy on the eye ;D

I'm lazy. I'd rather turn my wrist slightly than dig out the modern-day equivalent of a pocket watch from my pants pocket, just to check the time.

There was a time in my life where I thought like that. But truck driving made having a watch a good thing!

In my prior occupation I didn't wear one because I was always getting wet up to my elbows. And I like a leather band....

Not really limited. I don't think they make as many of them as they do of the Dophin/Whale version, but there's plenty around.
