Fashion trends last years, noticeable evolutionary change takes many lifetimes. I'm not sure there's really the connection here you imagine there is.

Not all animals are not getting bigger, BTW. Humans are slowly getting bigger due to social selection and better nutrition. Livestock gets bigger because it is deliberately bred that way by humans (artificial selection). In the wild, natural selection only favors traits that increase survival and reproduction, which may or may not affect their size.

Even if any of this had anything to do with watches, a watch does not need to be bigger to be functional and useful, regardless of whether we have slightly bigger wrists these days. As I said before, even the smallest women's watch can easily be read by anyone. Fashion is fashion.

One can see that biology can effect fashion trends of items we carry or wear. But humans got more factors that influence their actions, habits and selection than animals. e.g culture and social norms and values.
e.g: More People get older,so watchmakers make bigger watches with bigger numerals,to please them. But many people dont want to show their decreasing eyesigh others by wearing big "senior" watches. So it ("more old people") can have the oppositional effect on the fashion or markettrends, making watches smaller. However,my projektion of the future is, that big watches without any other function except showing time and date, dont fit to tight dresses and look strange on them. i assume we have reached a limit here. The industry need its time to catch that, but will so.
There's a lot more to say to this, subcultures, distinction etc but this must be enough.

I like it a lot. Keeps time very well and it's not too light (I like heavier watches). The only gripe I have against it is the lume - not very pronounced; but decent. Other than that it is great.

Your watches look great! Can I ask what you used to clean them--products or techniques?
