So I'm wearing the first one now. Timex Ironman, It's a solid cool little watch. Seven bucks at the thrift. But my Citizen Aqualander(2nd pic) is all fogged up and quite working! I've worn it since 1996 and my hearts broken! How did this happen? I've been swimming a million times in it. Why did a fog up, why has it malfunctioned? I don't think it's fair to have to go on eBay and pay $700 for a new old one. Does anyone think that contacting citizen wll make a difference could I possibly get it fixed for not that much money, or a replacement? any thoughts would be greatly appreciated gentlemen. thank you[IMG][IMG]

Usually if a watch starts getting fogged up it is indicative that a seal is no longer sealing; you've got moisture in there. Having a new seal installed should not be very costly; but you'd want a reputable watchmaker who can at least test for the seal integrity under pressure . The real risk is whether or not said moisture has been inside enough to cause corrosion... The only way to tell is by someone who has the knowledge and skill getting inside...

Just as with a car or any other machine, a watch needs maintenance. By someone with knowledge and skill. Be real. Devices/machines do wear out.

    Sorry about that.

The nice thing about revolvers is that they have a tendency to actually work when you need them..

    Nicely put ---!
Henry you might email Citizen for the nearest repair center and see what they recommend and for how much?
I have no intimate knowledge of this particular model, other than admiring it--but some diver's cases are also nitrogen filled as they are sealed...which requires specialized equipment..?
I'd let Citizen have a shot at re-working it--?
