This week wearing my oldest Seiko 5 Sports - an automatic. I've had it for about 20 + years. Never serviced. Just starts up with a few shakes and keeps going. Model SNZ188K. Stainless steel case and bracelet; gold accents on the bezel and the bracelet. Sort of a 'sunburst' pearl(?) dial. Acceptable (not outstanding) lume on hour, minute, and hour marker indices. Hour markers are gold bars. Day/date complication. Seiko 7S36A movement. This is a small case; less than 38 mm. Crown at 4 o'clock position.

Sorry guys; no pics for this one.

    L'chaim!

That Borealis rocks! Simple, and elegant. Everytime, I try to grab-one they're always sold-out. :furious:

Hey thanks a lot. I’m glad you like them ! There’s only a few left in preorder. I preordered this one and the white Biohazard. This is my other Sea Storm from first run.

That's sweet man! Strap really sets-off the whole aesthetic. Am I correct, that these are assembled in Portugal? How are they on the accuracy, and reliability fronts?

They’re made in China with specifications of the owners in Portugal. The factory also produces watches for Prometheus, NTH and some “Swiss brands” brands. They’ve stepped up to a level of finish and brushing that is on par with my PO XL 8500.

These use Seiko automatic engines so more or less 15 seconds per day. Some are reported to be super accurate but I never check for accuracy since I rarely wear a watch 2 days in a row anyways.

Haven’t heard any negative reports yet.

Thanks, Blades. I'm into several Chinese niche brands myself: Helm, Obris Morgan, and Deep Blue. As well as Swiss, Squale and Glycine. Diving, and aeronautical watches have always appealed to me. The next purchase is always around the corner. ;)

Little quartz engine surrounded by a big plastic movement holder. Fixed bezel.
