Picked up two pieces last week on eBay, a 1988 Hamilton MIL-W-46374D Type 1 and a simple 1968 Westclox with a nice military black face. I finally found a MIL-W-46374"D" in superb condition, the "D" are rarely found for sale in pristine minty condition. The MIL-W-46374D Type 1 : with a hacking 15 jewel manual wind movement, accuracy + movement were improved over previous MIL-W-46374 specs. It was the first Hamilton MIL-W-46374 watch that was defined as "maintainable" for the over 20+ previous years of the various MIL-W-46374's series. The Westclox is a M101 26D 17J 1968 MIL version with a gold tone case which appears to me more like a bronze/copper color perhaps from age, I paid $12.50 then after applying my accrued 'eBay Bucks' it came to $2.38. (there was also a hard to find M "102" 26D 21J 1968 MIL version produced) Paid more for the Hamilton "D", though I made the seller an offer $170.00 below the starting price which the seller accepted.
New arrival. Need more time before to form an opinion, but holy Christmas tree, I can say right now, the lume on this thing shines! Sent fra min SM-G950F via Tapatalk
Update 2017-10-11: It's not only the best lume on any watch I have, but the accuracy seem to be great as well. It's now 30 hours since I first synced it to a precise reference clock, and it's now approx. +0.5 sec. If it continues to perform like that, it will also be my most accurate mechanical watch. Still getting used to the design though. I will give it a few more days before I dig into the details.
This week: For a 'low end' Swiss watch, really comfortable and steady time keeper. Conservative business? Really -- what do you think? LOL L'chaim! Moshe ben David
I bought a $14 "premium" strap at Wal-Mart. If/when it breaks in I guess it'll be alright. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G890A using Tapatalk
