I got a tool at Walmart. With the back off, a bright light and a magnifying glass I couldn't find anything that had + - on it. It is almost 40 seconds fast. I simply cannot abide by that sort of inaccuracy.
About every 36 hours I would have to back it up a minute.

The cheap Ana Digital from Walmart needed the digital reset for being slow but the Analog part was spot on.
It's what I'm wearing just now.

Grandpa's old Westclocks wide up alarm clock took me a while to regulate but it now does maybe a minute a week or so. A whole minute in 30-36 hours just ain't gonna cut it.

Actually if it were easier to hack the Orient I could set it every morning and I suppose that would be close enough. But it ain't.
Invicta has some quartz divers that don't look too bad.
I get to try out a Seiko probably next week. We'll see how that goes.

If the watch has not been worn in awhile it may need to break in

Jays and Kay's has them. I have bought a few thing for them including bullbars for gshocks, and strap adapters for my sunntos.

With better light and a loupe I found the adjustment. I think it has actually slowed below optimum but I'm running the stop watch on the Walmart watch and it's pretty close after 30 minutes. Still need 22mm Nato.....

Oh, the hack trick didn't work so it's still 35 seconds off optimum.

I think it might now be close enough for government work. The hack is tough to pull off but I have it within a second of the Walmart watch.

I'm putting sort of a leash on the Orient and am going to carry it in my watch pocket tomorrow.

The Orient is a couple seconds fast after overnight. I reckon I can live with that.
May go back inside it and nudge the regulator... but probably not.
