I have $22 put away. Either the cheap Casio day date analog or the cheap Casio digital will come home with me IF nothing happens that needs the $22. I wouldn't bet money on it....
I couldn't agree more!! not really a $20 watch.. love the look, and gets the job done! tough as nails... Sent from my SGH-I337M using Tapatalk
So some things about the Expedition Scout from Timex. First is the 40mm size, which is perfect in my opinion, especially when paired with it's 20mm strap size. My other Expedition is 42mm which is not too big, but does look rather odd at times with its 20mm lug to lug width. Second thing is the seconds hand. It lands right on all the indices which is a huge plus for me. On my other Timex watches, the second hand lands either in the middle or slightly off-kilter which always bugged me. Third is the illumination. The Indiglo is awesome as usual, but the lume on the hour and minute hands is alright. I'll usually "charge" them with an LED flashlight for about a minute or so before bed and it's bright. But fades somewhat quickly. Now if Timex used C3 Superluminova....then that would've been perfect. Also, if they had applied the same GITD paint to the hour markers, that would have been another huge plus for me. Lastly, I'm happy to report that the ticking on this watch isn't as loud as my other Timex's. Seriously. In a quiet room you can hear them ticking away. But this one is quieter. You really have to be listening to hear it. All in all, I'm impressed and glad I purchased this one.
I picked one up at Target last week, the one with the black leather band. All women's watches are 20% off and this one counts apparently plus there was an extra $5 off coupon I could download onto my phone. Chad
Right on. That was the one with the dark gray finish, right? I almost got that one as well but decided on the all black model as I don't have a watch with a black case/dial.
I just ordered one of these this afternoon. (Not my pictures. I'll post some when I get in delivered) It's a Weiss Standard Issue Field Watch with latte dial and Horween CXL band. I feel like I'm taking a little chance on this as the company is pretty new and the story behind them is intriguing (part of my draw to it though, if I'm honest). This will be my first high-end watch as I only have a Sieko that I bought probably close to 10 years ago for aroung $300 or so and an all Black Swatch I wear when I'm at work on days I feel like wearing a watch.
