That thing is GORGEOUS and after looking at the kickstarter I'm SO bummed I didn't find this easier because I want one so bad now!
I just have a pair of Seiko 5's. I alternate them daily and they stay wound up. Cheap enough not to worry if they get knocked.
I've only had it since yesterday but I'm really liking it. I got the grade 5 titanium model so the wait was a little bit longer than those who got the grade 2 but it was worth it. It also came with a black nylon nato strap but I think I will probably pick up a couple different colors.
How's the bezel play? Some have said it's not as good as some of the lower-end Seikos like the SKX series. What do you think?
It's nothing that will bother me. You pretty much have to go one click past where you want it and then move it forward. It isn't lose or anything where it will move on its own though.
Thanks for the details, I saw someone say the same; that you should go one click past and then rotate it back to where you want. No rattle or looseness though, right? That's really the only thing that would be a deal-breaker for me.
Guess I have a thing for Timex. And field watches. Just got this yesterday. 40mm case size fits this style perfectly.
I'm waiting on my Ti5 too. Do you have anything to compare the thickness? I've seen many side shots but nothing comparing it to anything. I chose the Zero Hour with a couple strap variants, I think that's why mine is in the last wave.
My wife gave me a Invicta Pro Diver for Christmas that is ugly on me. Looking at Citizen Eco-Drive gold dress watches now.
I don't have anything to compare it to. This is my first field watch. I've never liked thick watches though and this doesn't bother me at all. Even with the doubled up leather from the leather nato strap.
