Just wondering if you guys think this is the right size watch or is it too big? It is the Maratac Mid SR-3. VERY few watches fit me, as I am a smaller guy, so I was just curious what other people think. Thanks in advance for comments.
Hard to say. Watch sizes are a personal preference. In the bottom pic it looks a little on the large size, but in the two upper pics it looks fine. Wear it for a few days, and see how you feel with it. I think my Omega is too big for me, but if Daniel Craig can wear one, so can I Anyway.... I'm better looking
I think it's def too big for your wrist and you should sell it to me No, I think it looks fine...it's all about how it FEELS to you and what you like. I like a heavy watch like my Breitling B1 on a loose band.
The old fighter pilot adage is..... The only thing that should be bigger than your watch......... Is your ego....
Personal preference. It looks larger than what I like, but I am a dinosaur and big watches are in style
A litlle big but that is the style now. Try tightening up the bracelet a bit and even wearing on the underside of your wrist - That seems to make mine wear a bit better. Botoom line. do you like it?
Thanks y'all. I love it, I found it doesn't look nearly as big with a long sleeve shirt on.It's rare for me to find a smaller watch, around 40mm, that is also auto with sapphire, that I like the look of and is also not too expensive. That's why my only other watch is the mid pilot that I've had since it came out.
Looks fine to me, I've got skinny wrists and it doesn't bother me that some of mine are about that thick too. If you like the watch and the look go with it. Looks like a great watch.
Nowadays you wear a watch as a fashion statement as much as a functional piece of equipment so it is totally fine to wear a 'oversize' model. A couple dozen years back people would have laughed about the watch sizes that are being sold today but guess what, times change! Most important thing imho is how the watch makes YOU feel! If you feel odd, out of place, feel like you drawing too much attention to yourself and are having trouble with the dimensions of the watch (bumping into things, not being able to wear the shirts you like, constantly fiddling with it to get it placed properly on your wrist etc.) then it might not be for you.... otherwise the sky width of your local door-frames is the limit! My opinion is that the watch looks great on your wrist! Yes it is big, but the clean face somehow makes it even a tad classic somehow despite its size! Wear it with pride!
Here's a couple more pics. Wrist size is around 6.5" I think. I lost a significant amount of weight over the last couple of years, so finding things that fit has been a pain.
To me the big marker on whether a watch fits is how the strap hangs at the lungs - when the strap has some shape and curve to it then it fits fine (as yours is doing), and I feel it is getting a bit to big when the strap is starting to hang limply down the sides of your wrist rather than contouring to it. Beyond that, that is a pretty massive watch, so I will admit I wouldn't wear one personally, but that really comes down to fashion and personal preference - it is purposely large rather than badly fitted.
It looks to me like it was pretty much made for your size wrists, what with the lug angle and all. It looks great on you
