    I've been eyeing wallets recently.
I've been happy with my more or less standard wallet, but two things have changed:
    1. My back does not like the back pocket carry any more.
    2. As a result of recent updates, all my carry on stuff is now credit card sized.

I do, however, need to carry coins in my wallet and I pay in cash quite frequently.

    So my needs are:
    - 9-10 cards
    - Coin compartment
    - Room for more than just one or two bills.
-RFID blocking would be nice, but is optional

As I gather it, this will exceed what most of the minimal card holder wallets offer - so I guess I am either looking for a really small & minimal standard wallet, or for a really huge minimal wallet.

    What do you guys use?

I use a generic backpocket billfold wallet for credit cards, etc. Billfold section is divided into two sections. I put currency into one and receipts into the other -- which are then removed nightly.

For coins I use a coin pouch which rides in my right front pocket together with a money clip for a few currency bills so that I don't need to pull out my wallet each time. The coin pouch I use is an old design -- leather, when squeezed it opens like a flower opening up. I say old because my Dad used to carry one he picked up in Paris at the end of WWII! Mine is NOT that old; a mere 10+ years. Chuckle!

Could you consider a coin pouch for a front pocket? It would make your decisions of a wallet a lot easier I'd think.

I carry a Waterfield Designs "Finn" wallet which slips comfortably inside my front pocket, with coins loose in my back pocket. It doesn't have RFID screening, but they may have added that since I bought it some years ago.

For what you want, have a look at Pacsafe, they have a range of RFID-safe wallets in various shapes, sizes and layouts.

I went through this myself last year and bought several different wallets to try but it was a no brainer really once I gt this one

    https://www.bigskinny.net/wallet-bifold-hipster.html

It is bigger than many so that it can stay so thin!
You just have to try it to understand how different it can be.
Mine is often empty seeming as it just distributes everything so much better than any single row model but then when I travel and carry a lot of cash it is still a lot less bulky than other models then as well.
I was also worried it would be a piece of crap as it is so cheap but this is not the case either.

I am sold and now have a backup too!

Oh and I have no idea about the coins, sorry you are on your own there.
I can not stand carrying coins ever!

Thanks to @EZDog for mentioning the Big Skinny. I'd heard of this line before. Just went and checked -- line is available on Amazon in case anyone is interested!

You could take a look at some of the Bellroy offerings. Pricier than some, but high quality.

I have a Big Skinny bifold that I bought to use on the ocean.

One day, I realized that I hadn't used any other wallet in a couple of years.

I just recently (2-3 days ago) picked up a steerhide wallet, so I've started darkening the leather a bit. I rubbed coconut oil into the leather and left it in the sun for a few hours. Here's what she looks like so far:

Note: Oh, and I antiqued the US Morgan Silver Dollar concho with liver of sulfur gel (I prefer stuff that's not too shiny or bling-blingy)[IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Exactly how I feel about mine too!

A wallet was just a pain in the :censored:,literally and now it just is not any more and I didn't have to lose any stuff either.

I think I will go down the sensible route and check out one of those super small credit card sized wallets. I'll order a cheap one to see how that style works out for me - and if it catches on, I'll have a good look at higher quality products.

I recently transitioned from a Big Skinny, which I generally quite like, to a Flowfold bifold which I adore.
What I didnt care for on the Big Skinny had to do with where currency goes: the silk “divider” making 2 separate bill areas was a hassle as is the rubberized lining which make putting bills into it quite fiddly.

My .02 of course, but the Flowfold hasn’t produced any nits to pick for me....(unusual)

Just get the Spec Ops Wallet Jr. and put everything in it. Carry in you front pocket. Will probably outlive me. Posted this in another thread but still my favorite wallet. Plus it has a clear slot on the front for IDs. Not sexy but functional.

Might want to give this place a look, I'm getting ready to order a pouch and wallet myself. It's a veteran owned company and everything is USA made. They re-purpose militay and firefighting gear to make their products, so everything is extremely heavy duty. Some of the leather wallets are made from military combat boot leather and others from firefighting gear. Not cheap, but as always you get what you pay for.

    Two options come to mind:
    1) Compact billford, like the Bellroy Note Sleeve (or cheaper alternatives) and a separate coin purse
    2) Taxi Wallet - more a style of wallet than a specific brand, but maybe too bulky for front pocket carry
