I have tried repeatedly to get one of these but my emails are never answered at all? I thought maybe he is just gone?
Its not a very difficult design... It would actually make a really fun diy project if you have a sewing machine.
So I tried again to get a response from Bill? He actually emailed me right back but did not tell me the price? Instead he wanted all of my details including a CC number? So I tried several more times and he WILL NOT TELL ME THE PRICE?????? So now we have had 6 emails go between us and he is not going to tell me how much his wallet costs? But he thinks I will send him my details and a blank check? is wrong with some people?
For me it would be too bulky. I moved away from a bifold in the first place because I tended to overstuff the thing -- add a caddy to it and it becomes a brick. The trend today is for minimalist wallets, you, I suspect you're just in a niche of your own -- maximalist?
Hehe, I suppose that might fit, at least in the context of wallets. Adding the thickness of a two tool caddy (or even 3 skinny ones like my concept shows) would definitely increase the thickness over that of my current wallet, but it is a net reduction over the combination of the wallet and a loaded Skinth Toolet M7. That combination is what I'm trying to reduce.
You might be right that the combo overall is a net reduction. But few of us would carry a wallet (say a bifold or even trifold) AND a Skinth, even the Toolet, in the same pocket. I know I'd be unlikely to. I personally don't mind several items; just try to arrange them so that none of the pockets is bulging out all that much. Could be just my preference, but I'll go out on a limb that I'm not the only one. It'll be interesting to see what solution you end up with! L'chaim! Moshe ben David
They aren't in the same pocket, but rather in what amounts to stacked pockets. The "standard" front pocket isn't anchored and tends to move around. The cargo pocket, probably called the cell phone pocket, is in front of it and that more often than not results in stacked stuff. Eliminating the stacking is really less important to me than freeing up a pocket, which opens up a broader wardrobe.
Monkey’s Edge sometimes has pre-made ones in stock, which would at least give you an idea of the price. I went with a similar item that was cheaper from Etsy. https://www.etsy.com/listing/484151279/edc-pocket-walletorganizerpouch-regular?ref=shop_home_active_1
I ordered both sizes after seeing your pics already but was still curious about the Bills wallet. Not anymore though! I am dumbfounded by his attitude? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
FWIW, I came to the conclusion that at this point he's more of a hobbyist than a businessman. Meaning it just feels like this is not his primary source of income so it may not be his highest priority. To each his own... L'chaim! Moshe ben David
I believe that the wallet that I posted is $20. His prices are VERY reasonable - even on his custom stuff. I've heard that he has been ripped off by more than one company even though some of his designs are patented. Of course old age may be starting to play a part, too. I just picked one something like this from Yellow Birch Outfitters. It's really nice, has 4 pen/slot pockets, a slip pocket and a zippered pocket. They have a few versions if you're still looking I would check them out.
This thread inspired me to see what I could diy together for a few bucks. I did my best to make a pocket size grid it organizer. It came out bulkier than I wanted. It definitely does not work in jeans and sat on my dresser for a couple of weeks without getting used. But the weather just turned warm and I found it works awesome in a cargo pocket in cargo shorts.
Neat (no pun intended!) idea. Not really my cup of tea for pocket carry but I could see it in a bag. L'chaim! Moshe ben David
I made one for my backup mags. I keep a knife sharpener on the other side. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
