I really wonder who at Leatherman decided to move the knife nail nick more and more away from the knife point. Here it is better as it is on the Style, or on the Style CS. True, it is a tiny blade, but the principles are the same a on a large blade, you have more leverage further away from the pivot.
ps: nice carry O horned one ;)

    The Spirit tour..

I didn't know much about this tool, but I heard some great things about it, and when Lynx was kind enough to sell me one, I had to jump on the deal to see what it's all about.
My first impression is that this is a wery well made multitool.
Every thing from the toolset to construction seems well though of.
I haven't used it yet, but I have played a bit with it to get to know it a bit better, and I must say that so far, I really like it.

So I thought I'd take some pictures of the different tools and give you "the Spirit tour"

First is the tool closed. At first I thought it looked a bit funny with the slightly courved hadles, but that makes sence when you open it to use the pliers.

Like this.. I haven't used a multitool that has been as cofortable as a set of "real" pliers, but this one is on of the better I have felt.

    Over to the outside tools.
Like I said earlier, I haven't used this tool yet, but if the saw is anything as good as my other Vic's (regular SAK's) I'm happy. :) They got a real good bite to them.

Victorinox usually makes really good and usefull awl's. Don't know if this is as good as the allmighty Alox awl, but I guess it works fine.

This is a tool I know. Pretty much the same as a regular SAK, and I know it works.

This is new to me, but I can see how the sharpend tip can be really usefull for scraping paint and stuff like that. Think this will be usefull for some DIY electrical stuff in the house too. (I'm allowed to do that :) )

At first I did't know if I liked this blade, but after playing a bit with it, I think I changed my mind and I think it will be nice to have a serrated knife.
Also kind of like the non serrated edge portion. Like a reversed combo edge.

A metal file has been handy before, so I'm sure I will need one again.

This is another one of the tools I have used a lot on my regular SAK's. Really functional can opener, and the tip is actually surprisingly good for many different screw heads.

Vic's inline Phillis. There is a reason why I have one of these on my custom SAK.. I like the extra length.

This is something a often miss. A long thin flathead. Use those a lot when we terminate wires.

And the good old Vic blade. More or less the same as millions have used every day on their trusty SAK's.

All the tools out. And all the tools lock open. :)

All in all, I think this will be a great multi use multitool. I can see uses around the house, nice tool for work, and a great tool for camping/outdoors.
So thank you Lynx for getting me this one. :D

Got a small package in the mail today.

Needed some more Zippo fuel, so I ordered this set. Allways nice with an extra Zippo.

The finish is called "Copper sparkle". To be honest, I thought it would be more copper and less sparkle. :p
    [IMG]

Compared to my other dayly Zippo slim.

But when you look under them, you see the real differense.

Don't know if I leave the Zippo as it is, or if I'm going to find the tourch right away. :p

Well... I was only going to modify the new Zippo a bit.
Lightly sanded it and just touch it a bit with the tourch to get a more "vintage look".
Little did I know that the coating is highly famable! My lighther caught fire! :p
So I got to try the scraper tool on my new Spirit and scraped away the black crust that was left of the original coating.
Long story short, it got a little more modified than I planned.

Yeah.:D I was a bit surprised myself.. But I'm sure it can handle a normal flame. But a direct hit with the tourch was just a little too much. :p

Did this not long after I took the last pictures. Didn't think a new lighter should look like that.
So with some more sanding and a light polish, it's looking as good as new and ready to get some real patina. :)

It's hard to get a desent picture of the "shinyness"
