OK, I just placed an order for a left shoulder Javelin AND and an Envoy. Both in Foliage. Unlike all those guys on YT that got T&E samples, I paid for mine, so y'all will get the real scoop just as soon as I put the bags through some use.

More Javelins have landed. I was just keeping two each in stock as that is all I could justify then something happened and they started moving. I placed another order before the one that arrived today landed for more Messenger bags and I bumped up the Javelins I keep on hand on that order as well.

They went from about 1 a week to 8 in a about a week.

I shouldn't post things like this. There is always the Jinx curse.

Vanquest just confirmed for me on their fb page that the Javelin does hold a 15inch MacBook Pro in the main compartment, and an Air in the padded laptop sleeve.

Who me? Funny, my boss saw me today outside the shop in coveralls, a buff headband, and some tactical type black sunglasses and was shocked. He told me that I'm going to scare my customers:p

I've been using the Javelin for the past two months straight - nearly every day (weekday and weekend). Great bag. Very much an EDC sweet spot for me.

I had to trade in my smaller work laptop for a full size (15" I believe) HP Elitebook. The Javelin held that too, along with my iPad, but was getting maxed out. I switched back to my Smart Alec given the larger daily commute requirement this morning - combination of wanting to change things up and wanting 2 straps for a while.

I was surprised - but pleased - that the Javelin was able to handle the new work laptop.

Switched right back to my Javelin. I like the smaller form factor.

I need this bag! Loved the comparison video showing this pack in all it's glory! Now I just need to decide how I want to carry.

One request if I may. Can someone snap a pic with a hoodie or similar rolled and secured somehow to the outside?

    Thanks

I don't have my Javelin set up for external strapping of hoodies, etc.

But, taking a look at the Javelin, I'm wondering whether the external loops on side sides could accommodate the Tom Bihn gatekeeper external straps from my Smart Alec ... hmmm

I actually came across this thread this morning! Exactly what I was looking for. Definitely made up my mind especially after reading the maxped vs B issue from 2008. This is a definite winner over the Sitka

Really hanging to receive my Javelin. Cursing only ordering USPS Priority for international shipping. SSSSSLLLLLLOOOOOOOWWWWW does not begin to describe it. Vanquest shipped it immediately to USPS (good work) but the package has been in the USPS CA sorting facility for well over a week now! I'm thinking the workers there are taking it in turns to take the bag home and test it out.

Next time I'll ask to use DHL. Much faster.
