Its not too late!
I sent an e-mail to Vanquest requesting they make it into a backpack.
Hope they listen.
Wooo!!! C'mon everyone, let's get on this train!
I've only been dreaming about it for years, no big deal.
Instead of emailing them why not just post in their thread. The first company to let me stock their packs.
O but it is, the bag arrives today!!!
But you got it at the wrong place.
See?! You can still order it from JS Burly's Told ya"!
Couldn't find it so I'll ask here where Vanquest bags are produced?
Regretfully I did.
They provided this link >> Why Vanquest? << and I read it say "Made in the USA" in red, white, and blue
Thanks for asking. Good question and I didn't know either.
It says the Multicam Cordura, and some of the other materials are made in the USA, but the gear itself is assembled in the Philippines. That's cool. Certainly better - in my personal opinion - than the flat out all made in China stuff.
I'm interested in the sling bigtime. :-D
Yup - the tag in my Javelin says Designed in the USA; made in the Philippines.
I am really digging my Javelin to be sure. The strap's really good for one thing - it is designed well, and the strap doesn't cut across or into my neck a big. The main compartment is easy to access even when slung across my chest.
I wasn't sure about a bag "locked in" on a single side carry. This one is really working out. I'm glad I gave a lot of thought to how I'd access the bag. I'm a lefty (strongly), and am using a left should carry.
If any owners can throw up a pic of them wearing it with their height so we can see for scale, I'd appreciate it.
Very glad you are liking the pack.
I just got my Javelin tonight, thanks to JonSidneyB for the great customer service! I have a few things to tweak such as pouches to add, but so far I'm quite pleased. Now if I could only find a decent sunglasses hard case that attaches to MOLLE and a copy of the Maxpud cocoon!
I use the Hazard 4 hard case pod for my glasses. Usually I clip it into my TB Smart Alec (inside) via it's carabiner, but it also has a MOLLE strap.
Moar pics (since I've got the iPad out anyway). I stash the iPad in the back interior compartment - zipper opened to access in the below.
If you were to purchase the Vanquest in foliage what other companies foliage would match for smaller
Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Vanquest’s foliage green is more of a “greyish foliage” compared to other FG colors out there.
Our R&D has decided to slightly tone down the green for better “urban camouflage”. When you convert Vanquest’s foliage green to gray-scale, it becomes a perfect mid-tone gray, which simulates how the color looks like in shadows and urban environment. This grayish foliage green color makes a great camouflage for urban settings.
We are developing many accessory pouches that are made of the same foliage green 1,000-D Cordura, but if you need some foliage green pouches right now, you can get them from other manufacturers.
If you don’t mind getting something that’s not made of 1,000-D Cordura, with slightly greener foliage colors, companies like Maxpedition, Voodoo Tactical, and Condor do offer many add-on pouches that are MOLLE compatible, and can be used on Vanquest products.
