Ha! I just noticed, my 5 year EDCF anniversary is coming up in a month
My six year EDCF anniversary is just after yours. It doesn't feel like it though as the first couple of years I was just a bump on a log.
I just took a look and my 5 year on USN is tomorrow.
I've only been over there since this summer.
I signed up over there a while back and took a look around. Seemed to be a very complex set of rules about reputation and it looked like it was for people with more expensive tastes than I have. I'm sure it's a fine forum but it didn't seem like it was a good fit for me.
why go elsewhere when everything a guy needs is under this roof?
I understand what you are saying. Mostly it's just to look at pictures of other sites things, or to research a product in more detail before purchasing.
its ok to look at the menu....just dont order anything!
USN and the collection of people that i've met (online) from there do not represent the way of life that i live. most of you all do, hence, their opinions matter not to me.
and lime green is stupid....natural colors float my boat
There is definitely an established culture there. I've seen cross over members from EDCF, including some from here who have moved on.
You don't see much DIY there, but rather consumers of high $$ items. Still, it's fun to see what the other folks carry.
I decided several years ago that I was tired of email addresses that came and went with the ISP so I registered a domain.
sent using CPIP (see RFC 1149)
Did that cost a lot of money to do?
Most places you can buy a domain with email for $20-30 a year, sometimes less. Check out hover.com, they don't try to sell ya a bunch of other crap like most places.

Bump anyone? Sorry about digging this up haha. There wouldn't happen to be a USN-er willing to help an EDC-er out? I've been waiting for a few months to have my account approved. Does anyone have the contact info of an admin? Any help would be appreciated gents...
You haven't even achieved trial access yet?
Nope, when ever I try to log on:
Might be worth it to try to re-register if it's been quite a while since you registered. Although it took me a few weeks to get in.
Unfortunately, my only access to a paid email is gone, it's not an option.
Maybe that's what the problem is. If they sent a registration email to that address, and it's not active, then that could be the cause of your problem. If the email address was not active, then they may have disguarded the registration.
The address is active, but it was loaned to me by a buddy. he would have told me if I'd gotten one, but I'll ask anyway. Dunno, I'll get back to you guys when I've got more info.
Have him check the spam folder as well.
