Please help me find someone who modds a Victorinox in the USA, someone like Syph007 who customizes tools just in America. I need a USAish one.
Mainly due to me being American lol umm also I am trying to create different edc setups( full titanium, carbon fiber, damascus, etc) and a full US carry is a goal of mine, I carry a sak everyday and yet it is one of the only items I cannot find to be recreated or modded in the US.
Thought so, but SAKs aren't made in America, so I was wondering why you needed an American modder! A bit like buying a Toyota, and putting American wheels and a bodykit on it! Not having a dig at you, I'm guessing you want to get as close to 100% American as possible?
Well that would be the best but just like some things assembled in USA means China made the parts and Americans assembled it so I dont need 100% USA made just close to.
I carry some form of pliard multitool daily and the juice is a staple but I like some of the tool set on a SAK like toothpick tweezers and awl.
Why not a US made pocket knife? I'm not too knowledgeable about them, but isn't there a GI Pocket Knife or something like that, with almost the same tools as the old style Victorinox Soldier knife?
Ya Rick is in FL and he was doing some SAK mods. Ironically the backsprings I had made up for adding scissors and pliers to SAKs are made in the USA. It was easier for me to find companies in the US to give me a good price on a small run. I bought the 440c at admiral steel which is in the US, it was waterjet in the US and heat treated at Peters in the US. Also all my Vic I use to build custom are bought from US dealers. So its a combination of Swiss and US made addons parts... assembled in Canada.
I'd be happy to do the mod for you but I must say the Canadian a few posts up will deliver not only a work of art but what I consider to be pocket jewlery. Truly a master of his craft. If I had to spend my very hard earned cash and wanted perfection, a Syph built mod is what I would buy. Simply the very best. If you still have your heart set on a US mod, I'm here to help however I can.
