Have a look at Derma-Safe.com for folding razors! http://www.derma-safe.com/folding-utility-knife.htm For the shopping bags I usually use the hooky yoke on a SAK to snag the handles, good for a couple bags that way. "Unusual" EDC? I generally have a pen and paper? I have carried Hot Sauce, but these days my most unusual EDC would be my Umbrella? It rains a load here in Ireland, so why we don't wear more rain gear beats me? MUst be like the Seattle thing of ignoring rain? "Soft out today" means a torrential downpour lasting for months just started, and me in shirtsleeves! MIni brollies aren't just for old dears and golfers, a handy way of not getting Drenched and unusual EDC if your not English and called "Steed"
Nice collection! I, too, wish I could purchase such items, nevermind CARRY them. That really big, pointy set of brass knucks looks VERY uncomfortable...on BOTH ends! Not to mention the spiked ring, the ice-pick pen and that wicked little push-dagger! Ouch! :spank:
Its never was the camera ...it was the lack of computer skills on my part :idiot2: Light is a nightcutter m60 with interchangeable bezels,lens,etc....A rare item.
Nice collection, but It doesn't look like you have a single item there that would be legal for EDC in the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia.
Cool stuff for certain, alwilliam. I too have a Hinderer Titanium Kubotan, but yours looks like it something glowing on the end. Tritium, perhaps?
Ooooooo Hot Sauce!! I love Hot sauce. I"ve never EDC hot sauce, but I used to keep ground Habs in my bag. And offer them frequestnly to the unsuspecting. Soon no-one would take food from me. Heh.
Okay, I dont how unusual they are but I always carry a box of Australian Tea Tree Chewing Sticks(tea tree flavored toothpicks) There available at most health food stores and these are'nt your run of the mill mint toothpick...they got a little bit more of a kick to them then that! I love em, cant hardly stand a regular old toothpick anymore. jryan
LOVE that stuff, but can only find it at the Thai restaurant-- where's she get hers? It really is good on everything. One of my favorite poorboy lunches is a can of sardines, some ramen, and some srirachi... mix it all together... Good stuff....
I have the same problem here during the monsoon season. Here being Charleston, SC- we're at the root of your problem-- the Gulf Stream A couple years ago I decided I'd start dressing to keep dry-- looked into Goretex, PVC slickers, the works. Goretex is too expensive and loses it's effectiveness after a few washings. PVC is too bloody hot. My solution? A Drizabone and an Aussie Bush hat-- Which, come to think, the bush hat is probably my wierdest bit of EDC-- being as I'm bald, it's always high on the UV scale here, and it makes just such a difference in comfort day to day. I wear it rain or shine if I'm not wearing the helmet. I'm an ATGATT rider, so if I'm on the bike, I've no need for the hat. Any day I'm not on the motorbike, I'm wearing the hat. Typically it's a short coat: Unless it's REALLY pissing out, then I go the full monty and get out the long coat. I have two each, brown and black each. Bought the black coats for the wife but she never wears them, so I do. Hat by Barmah, bought in New South Wales as I recall: Paid less than $50 for wach shorty, less than $90 for each fulllength jacket. $60 for the hat, and I've several. Nice thiing about oilskin is if it starts losing it's repellancy it's easy to re-treat it-- get the proofing wax, hang the jacket in the sun, dab it on and rub it in. 20 minutes later, you're golden.
