Unusual EDC

I've heard of those "Gel Johns" but never seen one. Will have to look for them.

 

Speaking of the Gel Johns, couldn't one be made from a strong ziploc bag and some of those water crystals from the gardening dept.?

 

I carry one with me all the time. I too was REALLY good back in the day. Once in a while I still hold my own in a circle. Just not as flexible as I once was.

Ahh, the footbag is something I do EDC. Used to be in my pocket at all times, now I keep it in the car, just in case. :juggle:

 

Ok, bit off topic, but definitely related to Hacky Sacks...

I'm a bit of a musician (barely), but back in the glory days of mp3.com I had created an entire album. All of it was music, but one track was a poem about Hacky Sacks that I recorded to the background sounds of cats.

I uploaded it to my geocities website so that I could link to it here, but geocities is stingey with bandwidth. If too many people try to download it, it will time out. If it fails to download for you, just wait a while and try again. Wish I had a better place to post it, but I don't.

Chinese Red Tea (fermented even longer than black tea) helps digestion.

So at least one Tai Chi master I've read of carries teabags of Red Tea with him, so
he can make red tea for every meal even if the restaurant doesn't have it.

In China and Taiwan, where they can feast for hours on dim sum (dumplings)
at special dim sum restaurants, red tea is served because it reportedly helps
digest fatty food. Or so I have read.

Haven't EDC'd red teabags myself, but sometimes I am tempted.
Sometimes I have carried teabags of Green Tea since I drink a lot of it
and it was not always as popular as it is now.

Hmmm...I think I"ll go make another cup of tea...

Really? I was under the impression that they are the same and the Chinese just call it red tea based on drink color and the rest of us call it black tea based on the color of the leaves. But I don't really know, so I'm not saying you are wrong. It gets confusing sometimes, but no matter as long as it tastes like tea.

way. I also learned about Yunan Paiyao, the Chinese herbal combination that stops bleeding and increases circulation. I've found
it very useful for family injuries.

B. E. Meyers make the Glare Mout. Currently they only sell to military, but I believe have "dropped out of the supply chain", and are floating around the internet on various auction sites. This is a true laser dazzler, used in Iraq and Afghanistan. Make sure you don't come by a stolen one though! They are possible to get legally (surplus etc.) as they are not considered a weapon in many places.

 

That was my impression as well, and I'm chinese.

I'm actually pretty keen to learn more about this. I do recall a movie I watched that used this method for hunting or knocking out there enemy.

 

I have been carrying a small LED projector in my backpack since I won it a few years ago. Never know when an impromptu presentation or movie screening will come up!

would love a pocket projector, so expensive in Australia though :/
