Hi, new guy here. So here is a sampling of what I typically carry everyday. Weather permitting, I usually bike to work and I don't like getting there with a sweaty back, so I carry my gear in a Maxpedition Versipak Fatboy-S (I'm a lefty). I'm going to read around a bit before I start doing any type of gear reviews (need to see what's already common knowledge before I start spouting off), but the Fatboy definitely has it's pros/cons. Here we go from the outside flaps in:

Outside flap: work keys, tac handcuff key, bike lock key

    Inside pocket: badge/badge holder

Inside zippered pocket: wallet, couple of pens, cuffs
    [IMG]

    Exterior pocket: 2 G27 mags
    [IMG]

Exterior sheath: Streamlight Scorpion (my cellphone on added cellphone case)

CCW pocket: G27 and reflective "police" patch if things go really badly while off duty and I want to make myself more recognizable to backup than just my badge alone

I took the Rolypoly off a while ago (that's on my BOB now).

Main compartment is filled with the usual stuff: personal keyring w/kubotan (when I'm not biking I slide this into the flashlight holder along with the Scorpion for easier access) protein bar, an extra tube of Zipfizz, small bottle of water, gum, mints, pack of smokes, sunglasses case, etc. Inside of the interior mesh pockets I keep stuff I don't use often/lose easily but want to be able to grab and count on it being there such as chapstick, spare lighter, SIM card reader, etc. I don't think you can tell from the picture, but there's a SOG Flash II folder clipped on the main compartment wall near the flashlight. Handy.

    Thanks for looking,

    christuan

:welcome: from one LEO to another. I use a Fatboy also, right handed, I put my wallet & cred's in it & several other necessities.

I wouldn't think you'd get that many opportunities to ride given where you live
But what do I know, my friends tell me I'm older than dirt & not the sharpest pencil in the box :lolhammer:
    Again Welcome
    Mike

    Greetings, brother:

I'm actually a bike patrol officer, we're mounted unless there's snow on the ground! :) Thanks for the welcome folks, I've been reading a bit over the past few days, quite impressed with the wealth of knowledge here.

That looks like a great setup for cycling.

I'm sure I've seen you riding around at least a couple of times. That is, assuming you're with Seattle PD. :)

    Stay warm!
